    updates,
in pics, the paint looks quite good, in real life, its a dodgy respray- so I've started stripping and sanding and ratting the car out a bit, First i got another set of 16" steelies and painted them black, then i fitted 20mm spacers to the rear to fill the guards a bit.. needs 30mm really.. then i took a orbital to the front end and started smoothing it all out, i dig it..

Also extended my gear selector.. just cause..

MY car is severely lacking a wildmans rod shop sticker.. ashton..

at least you have the right amount of cylinders now

I'm dreaming of v8, and bags :roll eyes
Also, massive downside to the luggage rack- sunroof open cursing on 40'c days equals a SHIT LOAD of wind noise haha

    who doesn't like a MILF?

so today i pulled the rack apart, wire brushed it, and hit it with a can of silver hammer finish paint, just to tidy it up a bit, i think it needs to be chromed somewhere down the line

My garage is an abortion at the moment..

Haha yeah it is a tricky call, quite a big hole to cut! i have seen it done to a coupe before (see pic) but i am trying to get the size info i need from a website that supplies the rag top, it looks like the factory steel sunroof whole is too big, so i would need to weld in section of the sunroof, then cut the remainder length ways to fit one.. i was really hoping to be able to utilise the existing whole and work backwards with it!

My merc has the factory fitted sunroof, which is busted, leaking and after pulling the entire assembly out today, has a fair bit of rust, i wire brushed it and rust converted and rust primed it and put it all back in just because it is my daily, but the sunroof still doesn't work properly and finding a replacement would be near impossible... so then i saw you can get universal folding ragtop kits, has anyone had any experience with these? if i could size one to fit between the factory roof rails, it doesn't look like there are any supports i would be cutting through to fit it, just roof skin.

    Like this :

My other option is perhaps just a universal glass sunroof, drop that sucker in..
