..it was just a matter of time. What else you have planned cosmetically? I think a (little) wing would suit this car so well.

- rocket bunny frs v2 rear fenders (still have to figure something out for the front)
- origin lab gt wing (biggest one)
- blast pipe/bozo exhaust (nothing too crazy)
- side skirts
and a few other smaller things. This build will get lots of **** and will definitely be an acquired taste, but im going in the direction that i want to go with it.

I havent updated this thread in a little while. Forgestar contacted me saying that my wheels are now done and should be shipped out next week. I cant wait! I've decided that im scrapping the fancy widebody and wing and for sure going for boooost! Ive been picking up parts as my paychecks come in and itll all get
done this spring. My goal is a conservative 230-250whp which will be a ton of fun for such a little car. Heres a few of the parts i have so far.
I can honestly say that this turbo build is happening this spring, im pretty stoked. Heres the parts i have so far, and lots more are waiting to be picked up at the post office across the boarder.
AEM FIC with subaru 440cc injectors

a pair of federal 595 rsr's to hook up the boost. Found a great deal on this pair locally and im going to order another pair new.

And today's pickup. I am extremely happy with this turbo. Evo 8 turbo with ONLY 15K on it! zero shaft play whatsover. Its in great condition.

Fitted my 10AN drain fitting onto it

28x7x2.5 intercooler which also makes for a great centrepiece above my headboard. Im going to have a hard time taking it down from there.

Also picked up some stiffer exhaust hanger's. My exhaust bounced all over the place since my suspension is so stiff.

Oh damn.
This looks great still
Do you plan on going with some different brakes in the future, or do you feel that the dual piston xg350 brakes will cut it? If you plan on upgrading, if it fits a DSM, it should bolt onto the XD/XD2 elantra, which I guess is a fit onto a Tiburon.
Check out my buddy Lucian's youtube channel.
He's running an SMT-6 with a 15t turbo on a log style mani with a 5th injector setup. At the drag strip it's pretty competitive, but on the streets is where it really shines. He is on a non CVVT beta2(like yours) a shit ton of mileage on it(IIRC 300k KM's ish).

I checked his youtube channel out and that thing is pretty impressive! Im running a AEM FIC with upgraded primary injectors. I had a TF10 with a secondary fuel rail before but the technical support for the FIC is far greater so i decided to go with that instead. The non CVVT beta 2 is much easier to boost. We dont have to deal with the stupid MAF and stuff as well.

As far as an updated on my wheels and other parts go... here it is.
I went to the boarder to pick up my new wheels only to find out that forge star messed up BAD (good thing i checked the boxes before i took them home). I ordered them in 17x11 -15/-30, but they reversed the offsets and made them in +15/+30!! I emailed both forgestar and modbargains (who i ordered them through) and am hoping to get an email back tomorrow to figure this situation out. I have multiple pieces of proof that i indeed ordered them in the negative offsets stated, so hopefully i get a full refund or offered a proper set for free.
UPDATE ON THIS:
Forgestar took blame for their mistake and is paying for shipping both ways to get them fixed for me. They are fixing them to the proper offsets and getting them back to me ASAP.
Aside from the offset error, the craftsmanship is beautiful. The finish on the faces came out beautiful and both the lips and barrels were polished very nicely.

Also picked up some intercooler piping couplers, t bolt clamps, and a vacuum block that was also waiting for me.

To make myself feel better, i ordered a muse motorsports stainless steel open dump 02 housing/screamer pipe. Cant wait for this beauty

Damn, you're doing work.
The 3000gt vr 4 brakes should fit as long as you have wheels over 16". They are 4 piston and look quite aggressive compared to stock. No one had done the vr4 brakes yet, but Lucian fitted evo3 front brakes onto his elantra, and since they all mount up the same they should fit with little modification.

Small order came in from extreme psi today. All of my polished aluminum intercooler piping, blue vacuum hose, along with oem manifold-turbo bolts, crush washers, 10AN 45 degree swivel for the oil drain, and the 4AN adapter for the turbo feed

Finally got to the boarder on saturday to pick up a bunch of parts. All i have left for the build is new wastegate springs, a fuel pump, and coolant lines. My wheels have been delayed another week. Forgestar was hiding information from me and modbargains. They finally told us what the situation is and they had to restart on all of the wheels except for the faces because they couldnt hide the old welds properly. They're estimated to ship out late this week. Onto the parts from the boarder run... Picture heavy!
I ordered a pair of federal 595 rsr's to match the pair i picked up locally. These are some pretty bada$$ looking tires, i cant wait to get them mounted.

The hot parts mocked up together. Looks pretty sweet!

The DNP tubular ceramic coated manifold i got off of evolumtionm.net. Looks great!

The muse motorsports open dump 02 housing. I am extremely impressed with this piece, its by far my favorite part i have so far. The welds on it are flawless and it is a work of art

Turbosmart wastegate actuator. Ill be using this along with a MBC to control boost

Next Generation Motorsports billet aluminum rear motor mount. Paired with a front poly mount will decrease wheel hop and make shifting much better.
Untitled by davidajjackson, on Flickr
eBay downpipe. There was no sense in buying an expensive one when i knew i had to cut it up and modify it to make it fit anyways. Maybe i'll get a nicer one down the road, but i was actually surprised how well this downpipe is constructed.
Untitled by davidajjackson, on Flickr
Aluminum oil catch can. Ill weld the top shut to make a sealed catch can system.
Untitled by davidajjackson, on Flickr
Compressor housing outlet, silicon couplers, NGK BKR7es-11 (2 steps colder than oem).
Untitled by davidajjackson, on Flickr
Getting the oil feed from the side of the head. This is a adapter to 4AN
Untitled by davidajjackson, on Flickr
New battery terminals, fuse, and 25' of 0 gauge audio wire for relocating the battery to the trunk. The terminals make adding accessories very easy.
