At least youre persistant....this is turning out better then anticipated. What are the details on the motor? Full rebuild?

The motor is currently a completely stock 2002 trans am complete pullout from cleveland pick-a-part. The motor was out of an incredibly low mileage firebird from New Mexico. It had very high compression and a low percent difference between all the cylinders, as well as great vacuum pressure. So its a basic 5.7L 346 cubic in LS1. The bonus is the shifter location, accessory locations, and the LS6 intake. Cleveland sent videos of the engine running in-car before they pulled it and wrapped it up professionally and crated it to me for a great price-- considering I was paying mostly for the backing of a reputable company.

Future plans for the motor are a secret, but they won't disappoint. Annnd who knows, there might be more reasons for the title of this build..

I'm still not sure either... I think the plan is to do the power train, suspension, etc correctly or well and just have fun with the body. Maybe swap everything to a clean shell in the future

Its inspiring to see you keep going. Cant wait to see the finished product. Also make sure when this is all done you put the total amount spend on this project. I would be pretty curious to know.

I appreciate everyone's support, and I will do that. I've been keeping all the receipts, I just don't like looking at them.

A bunch of parts came in. These seats weigh 13 lbs a piece, and fit well on the rails.












The instructions are pretty straight forward.

Then I went to Baltimore to go to Sikky's headquarters. I showed up and nobody was there and then a M5 flew into the parking lot (followed by a couple cars) and proceeded to turn some of the rear tire tread into smoke and donuts. I smiled. M5's are animals. They all came in and I was happy to see that they were all my age, and also found out it was a rental (perfect). Loaded up noodle (the DD) with the gf and tons of massive sikky boxes full of swap parts.

I didn't want the engine damaged in the unloading process, so I opted out of using a risky fork-lift.







Then my sister took if for a quick drive to make sure everything checked out.




The pullout came with everything and more: all the hoses, wires, pedal assembly, throttle cable, sensors, shift knob, more hoses, manifolds, all the accessories, air conditioning, and the engine/tranny mounts.





Another look at its future home. I went with ls swap because of simplicity and reliability. It weighs almost the same as the previous setup, costs next to nothing, makes enormous torque, is very reliable, any dumb american can fix/work on it. And again, due to my lack of knowledge, this is a great place to start.

I hired a engine hoist assembly team, but do to it's composition, I now understand why I still don't have a functioning lift..





Now begins the removal of the trans to get the engine on a stand.





Does anyone actually use these?









Since the lift doesn't work, my brother just lifted it onto the stand
