                  Thanks!

The goal is to have the parts on for the Mitsubishi Owners Day at the IL factory!

All parts are prepped, and painted except for the front and rear lips which required plastic welding first.

Started installing the JDM body parts as of last night.

Cutting off a portion of the tailpipe after the muffler. The VRG bumper is significantly shorter than the USDM.

What you all think of this exhaust tip??

Rear bumper on the car late last night. This VRG bumper is FAR MORE SHALLOW than we originally thought, it is HALF the depth of the other JDM bumpers, and 1/4 the depth of the USDM bumpers.

I love JDM conversions on just about anything. Looks great man, will you leave the rear bumper support in there, or does this car not have one?

These VRG Galant bumpers are MUCH SHALLOWER than their JDM or USDM counterparts. The rear bumper is 3" shallower, and does allow for a small amount of crash bar protection, although it must be custom, the factory USDM crash bar doesn't fit without major modification. The front bumper is about 2" shallower than the USDM (or most JDM bumpers), and the foglight openings are obstructed with the factory USDM radiator core support. The front crash bar must be removed, and the radiator support modified as shown.

Removed the crash bar altogether and started notching the radiator support and frame rails.

This shows some of the cutting we had to do. We had to end up cutting more so the foglight brackets would fit.

VRG JDM rear shown with USDM rear, you can see how much shallower the VRG bumpers are.

Front VRG bumper on and JDM headlights in, mostly, a little more finishing prior to installation. The lips are also getting painted as of right now. Headlights still need to be wired.

This shows you just how shallow the VRG front bumper also is, almost flush with the hood!

Oh man, this looks amazing. You could make cheap functional bumper supports/crash bars out of GTO foam front bumper supports and trim them down.
