Also, anyone have any suggestions as far as cut springs seating on these cars? The springs keep going above the top perches, which is a pain in the ass. I plan to cut another coil sooner or later, so maybe that will solve the problem to an extent. Could I use E28 top perches? Would they even be any different?

Also, if you read this and then afterwards feel the need to bash cut springs in my thread, take this in to account:

Got 4 new goodies for this thing. RFX Revolutions, the pre-cursor to the popular Shmidt Modernlines. 15x8. ET decent.

Definitely, gotta hack another coil out of her for sure. Probably one more up front and one and a half out of the rear.

Yep basically. Also are you keeping them diving boards?

I vote keep them just to get the bmw crowd mad.

Here's the thing, i don't know what I want to do with the bumpers. They're nice to sit on, and they're in great structural shape, no dings or bends or rust, but they're faded and cloudy. I was thinking about taking off the front, putting universal truck door molding over the holes where the bumper would have been, and running some sort of duckbill front lip, As for the rear, i'm undecided. I'd atleast do a tuck. I basically want this thing to look really old school, almost like some sort of period correct racer. Also, i fucking love my fog lights that are mounted to the bumper, they light up the road like no other.

Also for anyone who could help me, could the common man such as myself perform a valve adjustment on this thing? It's an M30B28. There's a really cool BMW shop in my town that does really nice work for a lot less than most specialty shops that could do it for me. They're super nice dudes too, I go in and talk to them from time to time about cars. I'd just like to take care of it sooner rather than later, the valves are really starting to sing their song once she warms up.
