So more on my fender brace install...
Turned out to be a bit more confusing than i thought and did a lot of unnecessary work on the first side. In order to get the fender off, you have to take part of the bumper off to get at one bolt,



Fenders off... dat stance...



Had to drill a whole in the inside of the fender there... never done that before so i kinda just went for it with the drill my dad had laying around.



To fit this in there



Anyway once its all back together and with both sides on the results are pretty astounding. Everything feels much tighter and solid. Took away a lot of rattles and everything is less harsh, in the way that not as many things move around over bumps. Steering is a lot more direct and has more feeling than normal. which is a lot because this is a miata haha. Anyway, still need to order some freakin lips.

thanks, and yeah i hadn't really heard of this happening before. Airbag technology was probably pretty shitty in the mid 90's anyway

Ok so mini-update... As I said earlier I got another airbag, and i just put it in. Fairly easy, though my work environment sorta sucks. Low light, hot, and chock full of mosquitos: hello, Ebola. Anyway, onto the pictures....

However there is a problem. The trim piece (the whole reason im reaplacing the airbag) seems to be a loose. im not sure if this is something i can tighten down properly or i'll just have to sorta rig it, but look at how much play there is in this:





So i'll have to get that sorted soon. At least my interior is all better.

I was able to laugh pretty hard about it once i figured out actually what happened. first thought was, "there goes my motor what did i drop in their when i had the valve cover off"

Cause there is so much smoke and dust that goes off when your airbags deploy. I was coughing for hours haha
