It's the stigma around automatics being clunky, slow and lagging, which might be true for gearboxes in the past but modern automatics are miles ahead of where they have ever been! Even in cheap cars they are quick changing, smooth and responsive compared to 10 years ago.

Love these cars. I also came from driving nothing but 6 spd m/t to an automatic. I absolutely love not having to shift anymore.

This Makes No Sense - '14 Jetta
Hey everyone, new build time
Some of you may have seen my gto, matte green, ccw lm5t, a cam and stuff, pretty rad build but definitely not something usable. I found myself only taking the car out once a month and putting 20 miles on it, and was definitely not okay with that. I sold that and picked up a 2014 Jetta SE.
Picked this over a lot of other VAG cars because it offered the new 1.8T which is a lot of fun for what it is, a decent interior, and IRS(yay camber)
I know, rwd manual LS car to fwd auto VW... It made the most sense for me to do this though, and gives me a new platform that I think I can do some cool stuff with. Also it was my first brand new car, and that's neat.
Anyway pictures
The day I brought it home, 40 miles on it.

Being stock at school

I run a company that sells LEDs and HIDs as well as coilovers and such, so I had to switch all the interior lights to LEDs.
shameless self promotion but check us out at www.citylightsupplyco.us !

Then about 30 minutes ago I got home from picking up some Golf R Talladegas. Weak specs at 18x7.5 +51 but I like the way they look and theyll be great daily wheels.

Immediate future plans:
Powdercoat talladegas white, or oem silver
Air suspension
Frame notch
Moar LEDs (headlights taillights and wherever else I can replace factory with LED)
Hopefully I can turn this car into a nice, reliable daily driver that serves double duty as a weekend "show car," but really something that I can just enjoy and not worry about driving.Tags: None
