This weekend i worked on flaring the rear quarters

i started by cutting pieces of sheet metal and welded them in until i liked how it looked.

and after a few hours of welding, and grinding i ended up with this...

Anyone here know anything about Honda motors? I am considering doing a k20 or h22 vtec swap. What's the better motor? Thanks in advance!

                    I would go with either a k20/k24 or b16.

I heard that k series is the easiest honda motor to put into an mr2. I would personally go with k24 block, k20a2 head out of 8th gen si. Would be awesome!

I havent been able to update in a while with going back to school and all that fun stuff... so here we go...

three weeks ago me and my dad went to a sheet metal class and picked up a English wheel, planishing hammer, and a sheet metal sheer.

                          [/IMG]

                          [IMG][/IMG]

I learned allot from the class so i decided to cut the flairs i made off and make them out of a single piece of metal and not a bunch of separate pieces.

                          [IMG][/IMG]

I used a adjustable wrench to fold over a lip to make it look more finished.

                          [IMG][/IMG]

and then i got them welded on the car.

                          [IMG][/IMG]

                          [IMG][/IMG]

And that all i have accomplished at this point.

As stated in the previous comments, for a 15 year old your work is really impressive. XXRs and D2 coilovers too? That's all good in my book, man. Keep it up.
