The GN is probably my favorite muscle car, stellar build man. I know this is a stance forum and all but please don't stance it, bag it, slam it, mexi-poke it or anything in between. It has a great stance now and I love the stock wheels. Would be awesome if you could find that style, but just an inch bigger and wider.

I agree completely, i'm not trying to get crazy with it, but I want to put my own touch on it and separate it from all the other GN's out there and I dig this forum and what you guys do to your cars and I wanted to put some old school american in here

I owned an '87 for 11 years and loved the car. I too completely re-did the suspension and went with a TA-49 and supporting mods.

The stock wheels look fantastic plasti-dipped.

From all the research I have done, everyone and their brother who has had a GN has used a TA-49 and said it was their favorite turbo in their combos. Don't worry, I still have the stock Plasti-Dipped wheels. I don't plan on getting rid of them since I love that all black look!!

Thanks again guys for the compliments on the car. It means a lot and reassures me how cool and fun this car is, and also keeps me motivated to continue the build. This past weekend I took the car out to a local car show and in doing so I hit a new milestone! 90K!



But it is quite nice to not have her bare the burden of the daily driver anymore, I still love to drive this car too much to put it away for good. This is how it sits 6 days a week now.



Progress will be a little slow for the next few weeks due to taking the girlfriend to San Diego for her birthday, and also the stupid heat we are experiencing down here in Tucson, AZ. It was 108 today and its only the 3rd of June... We are in for a long rough summer.

They sure did a good job with the design, also the description of Darth Vader's car imo is spot on! If I go more big on the wheels, im going to either need to roll the fenders which is all good and well, but much bigger than that its frame notching no matter which way I back space. I just need some cheater slicks

I appreciate it, yeah im not trying to go super low due to the fact of where the stock mount intercooler sits and the fact of the absolute trash roads here in Tucson haha.

If you want a nice drop for the rear, A-Body pig tail springs will work, a 2 inch drop spring on an A Body is a 4 inch drop on a G body or something like that! I was gonna do that with Elco.

I originally had plans to drop the rear 4" as well with some coil-overs, but since I put the bigger wheels on I had to raise the front from the 4" to a 2" drop from stock, so now im going to save the money from the coil-overs and put it into the E-85.

Some of the "purists" on the Turbo Buick sites are not a huge fan of what im trying to do, but I really want to make it my own and its my damn car haha. But at the same time the Turbo Buick followers are on the younger side (30's-50's) if you can call that younger, but I think so since any other muscle car following is ancient, so that helps my cause a bit.

I've always loved GNs. I've had two G body Cutlasses over my time. One of my favs for sure!

Oh man, I love the G-Body Cutlass's, the front grill sets that car off.

Cool car. Definitely need to bring the back half of the car down some, the rake looks a bit over the top.

Huh, those 3 blade props on that Herc look kinda goofy. On a car related note, looks awesome so far.
