How's the hood clearence gonna be, since the m10 is mounted like 45° and these are straight up...

The k24 is something like 3/4" taller than the k20, but I measured it for clearance issues when I first got it and the distance from the center of the crank to the top of the engine is less than from the center of the m10 crank to the top of the intake plenum, so it should be no problemo. It's also shorter in length than the m10, so it'll fit further back in the engine bay.

I'm not one for the idea of putting anything into a BM other than a bigger engine or turbo/supercharging one of its own engines but this swap is so perfect for the E30, after all it was a high revving S14 4 cylinder engine in the M3, will be such a sleeper, please don't change how the car looks, roll cage maybe but keep it subtle ;-)

Forgot how much I loved this thread. The exterior is perfect and I am very excited about seeing this swapped to a K series
