It's been an odd couple of days for me and my E28.

Xmas was spent with the in-laws and on the way home, an elderly gentleman decided he wanted my lane without looking. I saw it coming and managed to slam the brakes on. Unfortunately, he still crunched by front wing and pushed me into the kerb.

Now this wasn't a huge issue as the wing needed replacing anyway. On the plus note, the wing and several suspension bushings will also be replaced at no cost to myself

Boxing Day (26th Dec) came and with it came incredible snowfall, for the UK at least. I just could not resist going out for a play. I spent two hours "playing" and driving in the snow and called it a night just happy that I hadn't broken anything or totalled the car.

And then today. Today I was going back to the in-laws (See where this is going?) and I took the same route i've taken several times. I entered a roundabout that cambered to the right and exited onto a dual-carriageway that cambered to the left. One minute I was facing forward, the next I was facing the crash barrier on the left and then suddenly found myself facing the concrete wall on the right, then the left again, and the right again and then suddenly found myself facing on coming traffic having stopped two inches from the concrete wall.

Thankfully, I managed to keep the car out of either barrier/wall although it was probably more luck than skill!

Hopefully, progress will be made in the coming weeks and MAYBE, just maybe, we'll see my splits hit the car and my chassis come closer to the floor!

Yeh man. It got an incredible response for such a standard car. I was very surprised!

New wings are not that pricey from the dealer. (I've bought two new wings, four doors, tail panel, and the a-pillar )
Already been on to BMW for a new wing and sunroof moulding. Can't really complain at £170 all in!

Just a single photo from a couple of weeks ago...

That is such a cool car

Loving the alloys as well; will the rear wings not take any flaring to get the wheels to tuck under them?!

Also is that a TVR I spy in the garage?!

Time for an update with very little to see.

As I said at the start, the car was being cleaned up before any "modifying" would happen. For a couple of months now, the girlfriend has been saying she wanted to try clay bar-ing a car. I put the idea of as in my mind, it makes next to no difference. Or so I thought.. After clay bar-ing a friends car and seeing, well feeling a massive difference, the E28 just had to have it!

We ended up spending a whole day washing the car, snowfoam, clay bar, window clean and black trims detailed.

Next job is definitely to have the rotten wing replaced but that's just down to a lack of funds.

On the way back from Bugjam:

And a random photo taken by the girlfriend:

I'm currently in the process of repairing the girlfriends Mk2 Golf. Once that is sorted, I can start throwing some money at getting those rear wheels fitting!
