W108 another 3.5l in the place
Hello,
I will present you my W10 280 SE 3.5 in this post,
Just a quick introduction on the car,
I was talking with a friend of my father in law about old cars (he owns a Studebaker silverhawk), I already have some classic but I told him I was dreaming about an old V8 (german of course
)
I told my, I have an old mercedes 3.5l in a garage somewhere I've put it there 10 years ago, if you want it it's yours
Ok, I was thinking about a W116, well why not, that's not the car of my dreams, but we will see,
One week later, he phoned to show me the car,
When he opened the garage door, that's what I saw

I was like ,
How much do you sell it?
He told me: No it's for free, if you want it, just take it
So one week later I was the owner of this car (one more...)
And I bring it back home
V8 are great...

But.. It has some work to be done...
Rust have done its job..
It was already "repaired"
Another one
Before trying to start the engine, I decided to clean the tank
Fuel pump and filter seemed ok
SInce the tank is down, we can track the rust and do some paint job
