Nice! Good to know they aren't fuck bois. I'd rather just buy the caps rather than hack crap up myself and hope it ends up good.

Pics of my small holes that have a good inch for expansion towards the strut - I'm just waiting for my caps to use them as a template. Not the prettiest, but hey, it's the first stage of the situation.

Reverse rake is busting my balls.

            • This is a pretty little civic. A rear subframe brace would definitely give it an excellent ass view but anything you do seems to be alright. Keep it up

                  • Thanks guys, love the feedback. As for SiR stuff, I would but there isn't much to do! I guess a 2000 front end conversion (already have the rear), and a B series. That will all come in time, except the engine swap. My 108k mile, 35 mpg engine isn't going anyway bahaha.

Cleaned my headlights up. Also used a much cleaner cutting wheel to clean up and increase the size of my strut tower notches. There's this stupid nub on the side of the drivers side UCA that just is part of the mold that does nothing, and it's the only thing left that can hit. Might whack it off (giggity), but we shall see. Otherwise, still waiting on parts I guess.

                      • A picture one of my co-workers took at work. Pretty cool.

I hit a skunk tonight, it was scary and it was dark. Pouring rain out, I'm cruising along doing like 30-35 on a back road... Next thing Peppe le Pieu does a pull right into the middle of the street and I have NO time to do anything. Well, I didn't run him over with my tire, but that guy is deader than dead. It was probably the radiator support or front subframe that did the dirty work. Car is in the garage with all the doors and hatch open airing out... Gnarly.

Fart cannon should be here soon I'd imagine.

                        • Okay, so here's what I'm talking about as far as the casting imperfection on the upper control arm. Excuse the what appears to be butchered cutting, it's actually all smoothed down with a file and not bad, it's just hideous in pictures for whatever reason. Also, a shot of it airing out in the garage. The skunk piss sprayed all over my drivers side front hub assembly and wheel........

What I think is actually up is they used this nub to decipher the drivers from passengers side control arm, as the other one has no such mark to be found. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

                          • So I pulled my lock rings and shaved the upper control arm today. No more reverse rake, yay! But, no more suspension travel either, lol. I think I'm going to do drop forks (the cutting and welding of cast aluminum suspension forks to lower the front of the car without altering the strut) and raise the suspension up to compensate so the front ride will be much better.

The little nub I shaved. Not bad for an angle grinder in a tight space.

Peek-a-boo. That metal is bent up because I didn't want to cut too much in case the caps don't reach.

The front fitment is SO much better without the lock rings out. It cambers in just enough to tuck more tire so it doesn't look forced. Very pleased.
