Car is still alive. Have been to a few meets, mainly driving it and saving money. Planning on getting it painted fresh Milano red (or a red at least lol) as well as a fresh radiator support installed soon enough.
Car tried to commit suicide I guess. Didn't realize I had an improperly installed remote start until I left the car in 1st gear at work and kneeling down must have pressed the start button in my pocket, swiftly punting my radiator support up onto a curb and doing a little peel out. That was fun, tweaked the radiator support even more on the bottom portion, but I was able to get everything pressed into its rubber boots okay with persuasion from a BFH. (Still don't know how to fix the remote start system, it's a Viper 7652V in case anyone is fluent. I honestly want to just chop the starter wires on the A/RS system and call it done, but I don't even know what to cut, lol.......................)
Haven't washed the car in a while, should probably get on that tomorrow. Paint work is still pretty bad. Ordered SI badges for it.
Had two wheel bearings go bad on me, both on the passengers side. Sounded like a lifted mud Jeep going down the street. Had to actually have the front pressed into my spindle at a shop because I don't own a press, and the rear was AWFUL because the bearing actually seperated and the race got stuck on my trailing arm. Heat, ice water, heat, ice water, hammer, chisel, missed with the hammer and hit my quarter panel. That was sick.
Car has been pretty fun to drive, unburnt 93 octane has a very odd smell to it. 25 MPG city, SWEET. Playing checkers in traffic on the highway is fun so I've been told, never tried it.
Here are some awesome Instagam filtered photos!

Car passed inspection! After replacing two lower ball joints with an 1/8th inch of play in them (shop clearly wanted to generate revenue by trying to up sell labor) I got a sticker slapped on it with 20% rear tint they somehow missed twice lol.
reflection.........
Pretty happy. Still needs a lot of little touch ups and some proper waxing / clear coat, but for now it's just fun driving it. 500 miles in 3 days of actually being legally able to drive.

I removed a hood and drove places, including an alignment rack.
Guy claimed it was too low; he seemed really butt hurt when me and the determined good guys at Tire Warehouse got out some boards and limped it up there.
My old wheels showed up lol.

Apache's are 620$ new, my JNC's were 430$, lol.............. I was on the come up and didn't even realize it until I crunched numbers. And yeah, they're going on.
Also, what do you guys think, would you know that my fender(s) are 20$ rattle canned????

Get on those Enkeis RIGHT NOW.
Apache's are fairly inexpensive, but next to your wheels, them + 200 + new tires = Steal on your end.

It's on the road!
Just need to snip a few zip ties, paint some trim, install a door speaker, and put on my function forms / Enkei's! (which should all be done tomarra)

Well, the hatch saw its last and first real meet today unfortunately. I have many a pictures to share, but as of now I'll share my best, and the ones I bothered to edit.
(my buddies hatch lol)
Also, I was offered a proposition I believe I'm taking. There was this kid at the meet who kept wowing over my fitment and my wheels, kept trying to ask if I'd trade them away. Naturally I said nah, nah, nah. Turns out he has some Enkei Apache 2's, 15x7 38 offset. I've done the 15x7 38 offset deal before, it's not bad. They're wrapped in 195/50/15's. There's no tire stretch, and I kind of almost like it. They're brand new wheels and brand new tires, not a nick on them. He kept trying to get me to trade, and whereas I really like these wheels, he threw me an offer I couldn't refuse. His wheels and 200$ on top for mine. My rears are almost showing belts and the fronts aren't that good; he knew this and was still persistent, he wanted the stance look I guess. I think I'm going to do it, I LOVE the retro look they provide, and they'll be safe for spirited drives without worry of debeading, as well as cheap mounting prices for tires.
Here's a quick phone quality snap of them, for such weak offset and width, I think they look very good, and could give the Si a retro-based functional stance. I've never seen a 6th gen civic on these wheels, never mind a set in person before.
I dunno, we'll find out tomorrow if I trade him or not; opinions welcomed as always.
excuse his fender
i have no FUCKING idea
LOL

Figured I'd sort that out on here just so no one thinks bad of his business.

Damn sucks to see the hatch go. It was (still is) the inspiration for my hatch

Turns out I needed an exhaust spacer, basically a fake cat converter to make the exhaust fit, as the midpipe was made to work with an engine (d16y8) that hangs the cat under the car, not right off of the headers. So I also got metal to completely re-fabricate the strut tower caps (fuck ODB, I'm getting a refund. One month with NO UPDATES or shipping #'s. I've called three times and e-mailed once to NO avail.)
Taking the hatch about an hour away to a big local stance meet on Thursday, then it's tear down, part swap, and detail time for the hatch.((((
(first day i got it)
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( the end is near
but so is the beginning : ))))

Going to be installing the hatch exhaust tomorrow and begin detailing for selling it. Si could potentially be getting its sticker within 2 weeks...
