I've got one like that, not the car, but a 6+yrs build that's just sitting. Parting out sometimes does give you more $$

Poverty pic for my model was actually called the "executive" lol, which I probably should have bought for my daily duties because they had the boring l36 gm 3.8 v6 and 4l60e slushbox haha
But this is so much more fun

    Update time
Ok so after the last drift day, my suspension felt a little funny, pulled to the left yada yada, so went down to see my long time suspension guru.
Just so happened to be a stock wagon in the car park

Anyway, as soon as we pulled the wheel off it was pretty clear to see what went down lol.
Due to a number of variables, my front coilover springs not being captive, which caused my cambertop to spin when I hopped a ripple strip, which caused me to get spastic castor, which gave me more lock, which resulted in my rack end becoming my new lock stop...
End result? A bent rack end a slightly lighter oem wheel haha

So fixed that, gave it yet another wheel alignment and went on my way.
Earlier that day I had also picked up some hsv spec brakes that I found dirt cheap and also came with some suspension I could sell to make it even cheaper

Now the growing problem was what brakes did I want to use

..yeah.. I kinda have a problem
Brakes and wheels are sort of my weakness.
Anyway, all 3 fronts are 330mm with the pbr and hsv brakes being 2 pot and the k sport being 8 piston, while the hsv and pbr also have matching 315mm single piston rears aswell whereas the ksports are just a pair.
K sports were sposed to be for my other car but its looking like thats going to be parted out to fund the wagon now haha
New problem was, that since it was sitting a little lower it was scrubbing wheel lip on guard again, which resulted in this..

Woo for custom self machining lips... -_-
So got together with a mate and set about butchering my guards haha

Removed bar screws to trim for clearance

You can see the rubber mist here where its was scrubbing and also the clearanced bar and tub liner before I tidied it up

The cut out lip (it's hard to take pics inside a wheel arch :p)

Why holden decided 3 layer guard lips was a good idea is beyond me, no wonder they were such a bitch to roll.

And here is the off cut, my wheel was making sweet sweet love to it

After all our hard work we jumped in the car and cruised to the coast for a feed.
Couldnt resist taking photos of it, even though it was mega mega dirty

will be getting a major service and some tlc this weekend and a new diff consisting of a truetrac detroit locker with 3.9 fd gears ready for my birthday night drifts where ill hopefully be doing more of this
And a little less of this :P
    so stay tuned

The replacements sounds great, but not so Aussie typical.

You've got a nice speciment of a sleeper imho.
And when I visited Australia some few years back, I layed my eyes on every sporty Holden I would see.
I've been to Brisbane, looked around for 3 days. Then I made a 15 days roadtrip to Cairns.
Took a plane to Sidney and stayed for 3 days. Took another flight back to Brisbane and went back home.
I do want to visit Australia once again, want to ride from east to west.

Too bad we don't have those cars here and more sadly, they gonna stop making them.
Was so much fun, dumbest grin on my face all night, a few people were pretty into seeing a wagon come blazing around the track haha

Yeah sucks the commodore wont be made here anymore, but we may get camaros, vettes, chargers and other GM cars that we never got. I think the mustang is coming in late 2015 too lol

My wagon was only a limited run, I think they made a 1000 all up with only 350 black ones. Makes it a little special to me apart from all the utes (sports truck? Haha) and sedans.
