So uhhh... Finally got tires on the AMGs that I had

    205/40/17, 17x7.5 fronts, 215/40/17, 17x8.5 rears

Front has no more wheel gap, but the rear had about 1.1 inch wheel gap.

And then I look. Oh hey, I have these old H&Rs. I have a hacksaw. I also have hands. And then this happened.

    Minus one coil

That then dropped it to about 1.25 initially and settled to about .75 inch wheel gap after a while.

So another half coil has been chopped w/ a VBS so now I am just awaiting to get my jacks, jackstands to remount them. Will be needing to invest Ford Ranger front shocks for the rear as it constantly bottoms out. Cutting the bump stops will also be necessary. Spacers will need to be added to fronts and rears also.

Oh, and a flush mount trim piece also happened.

I didn't keep my word on not cutting springs and lobbed off 1.5 coils of H&R rear springs and put them in the back of the car. Paired that with ford ranger shocks for the rear and now it's sittin pretty.

I am a heathen and now must commit sudoku.

            yes

Car is bagged in the rear. I am now working with BagRiders to get myself a set of front air brackets so I can finish the build. So I also did something that I thought I wouldn't do with this build

Plans now are to create a airbag management system for my CE capstone project. This will be a prototype project that will utilize a Cortex M4 4088 for its brains as well as multiple sensors to save, recall ride height settings. There will also be more features added on.

                    What is happening here?

Obnoxious stickers? Cut springs? Noisy exhaust on a slow car?

I should **** this thing, but I cant. Looks pretty good man.

                            Well I did a thing

No more bicycle rack until summer time!

So far the air suspension is a mish-mash of Jay Marshall rear brackets on SS-5 bags and OnlyChargedDubs front LCA's on SS-6 bags. Sooner or later the rear will be converted to the OCD rear brackets.

The exhaust will be redone soon and I'll be throwing a Magnaflow back on. As well as an electric cutout for shits and giggles.

And now I want wider wheels.

Looking real good! i love a bagged merc, Maybe im biased
if you dont mind me asking How much did you pay for the brackets? I was trying to get just the rear cup and plates for my wagon from them but the whole exchange rate + shipping killed the deal for me. It was going to cost almost more than my entire management. Wasnt worth it IMHO but i do like how they look. How are they working out for you so far? Was tempted to just pull the trigger on them. But ended up using front brackets from a W108 Got them from BCfab for like 100 shipped.

OCD kit is expensive as hell. Jay Marshall kit is much cheaper by like half. Both kits are very different in terms of design choice, and in my case the fronts of the Jay Marshall kit did not work for me which is why I went for the OCD kit. The rear of the Jay Marshall kit is much simpler than the ocd kit as it doesn't require a riveting press and the airline attaches to the top in the Jay Marshall kit as opposed to the upsidedown mounting of the ocd kit. So far the fronts are working well enough as are the rear. So currently no complaints as of now.
