Summer 2010
Anyways I started off with this W124. It was rather high off the ground.

Summer 2012
So a bit later the suspension needed a rehaul, so at that point it was a why not decision to get some H&Rs and Bilstein B8s




Alright, cool. It dropped a bit. H&Rs coupled with Bilsteins rode rather smooth compared to the never-been-replaced 100k+. No more waftyness.
Fall 2012
Soon after, I move to college and one night I achieved an oddly satisfying accomplishment!

Winter 2012-2013
Decided to get some wheels. Whoo hoo... eh...

Everyone said to keep them since the wheels looked decent.
Seemed cool in theory, but in practice it just didn't seem to fit my car. I don't know, sold 'em off at a huge loss. Moderately stupid decision.
Fall 2013
Did a full cat-back dual straight pipe. Setting off car alarms in Lot 22 is still fun fun fun. Unfortunately the pipes were crush bent and not mandrel
Added a roof mount bike rack.


Winter 2013-2014
Used some 'sway bar bushings' as a DIY fender spacer just to widen out the front.

Then impulse bought Vogtland springs

Freshly made batch from Germany
Eventually got them installed, much better drop. In addition, the 2 nub pads up front and 3 nub pads in the rear were also removed. The pad removal contributed to an even greater drop.

And then it became a game of moar low.
Went about and bought some Febi Bilstein front upper strut mounts for the R129 and fitted them onto my car. Bolts right in. And for some reason, it dropped my front a good .5 inches, but it did raise the rear a wee bit possibly due to weight shift.

Tires in the front tuck. Full lock to lock creates an awful rubbing noise, but at least it's not chewing through the tires, which is nice.
I'm hoping to be able to drop this car without going air or even cutting a single coil. It may be possible, it may be not. I've know a few gear head mechanical engineers at UCSB so hopefully we can all figure something out
Sooner or later I should be able to find a decent set of wheels to throw on there. May be rockin' a Tentacle Grape decal when AX rolls around summer 2014.
Anyways, that's about it for the time being. Suggestions/Criticism/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
