No problem! Yeah, I've used helicoils a fair bit... everything on my engine has been helicoiled [alu' heads and block]. Might save me a head ache one day.
We use them a bit at work so learnt about them there. Makes it cheaper when work stocks stuff too haha

Ugh it sucks about the stupid "hellaflush" law you have to deal with. Thank god that shit doesn't apply in Texas. Vert looks really clean! Have you thought about fitting the e38 Alpina rep lip on your non-m?

Hopefully next year I can look into getting a vert myself

It does suck, thats the kind of shit that makes me want to move down south I've never looked into that lip actually! Is it a common thing to do on e36 non-m bumpers? how do they fit?

Loving your E36 so far. Reminds me of my first car! Mine was green too, although it was Fern Green.

I always wish I would have gone further with my vert.

                    Obligatory picture:

Keep up the good work. Excited to see what's going to happen over the Winter. And I really hope that stupid Hellaflush law doesn't ever make its way over to Ontario, too.

                    Past: Fern Green E36 328iC, Imola E46 330ci M-Sport, Dunkelgruen E36 328i, Le Mans Sunset 350Z

I really enjoy the beauty and simplicity of this build thus far. Keep it up. And I honestly thought those anti-stance laws were an actual joke when I first saw someone post about it, that really blows.

Ok guys I need your help on this one.
Winter is coming to an end so i'm slowly getting back to working on the car.
As I mentioned above I stripped my rear lower shock mount last fall and I was told helicoil was the way to go. I've never used those before and i'm kinda having difficulty finding what i should buy.. Knowing that the lower mounting bolt is M12X1.5X60 could someone who knows how they work tell me what the best option would be? Thanks and you all have a great show season prep !!!!!

You need the one thats the proper thread pitch for the bolt, the kit will have everything else you need to make it work properly.

                              Hey guys, been a while.

Been quite busy with work and the car and all, haven't had much time to write about my progress. So i managed to work on the car a bunch during spring. Pretty happy with the result... for now Sold the roadstars to a guy up here in quebec and bought a new set from a good friend of mine. Not really what i was looking for but i dig the style a lot.

                              OZ mitos

Also made a custom exhaust. Cheap solution for poor guys that want a nice sounding car. Really realllyy happy with the sound!!! Never thought a 200$ exhaust setup could sound so good. I'm gonna polish the tips cause they look awful right now.

Put M mouldings all around the car. Look a lot better than non-m mouldings imo. And bought a cheap pole position rep seat. Better than nothing i guess. My mom wrapped the seat cushions in tan leather to fit with the interior.

So thats how it sits for now. Plan is oil change and cooling system up-haul next.

Yeah and i'm shopping a new camera so pictures will be better soon.

This is sweet! Love the green on tan combo. Those stance laws are pretty ridiculous. I can't believe they can do that.
