The best car I have ever driven for sure, on a par with the 205GTI where you just want to take her out all the time for a spanking. I have spent a good few quid on petrol as well, mainly from driving around in 3rd all the time

The fate of the 4 spoke wheels is to be continued another time, have paint stripped them & cleaned all the bolts up in vinegar and will tidy up the all the edges on the lathe and sell them on. As I have just bought some more wheels! Been searching for something really unique that would really fit the feel of this classic. SSR MK1's or similar solid wheel would be a dream come true but it has not eminated, So what better than a classic 80's wheel with a Back to future twist....

14"x7 ET25 will be wrapped in some decent rubber, unlike what I have on there at the moment.

Adore these wheels an love they way it creates an optical illusion that its spinning

Got my OZ Ruote Turbos yesterday from Germany, probably the worst wheel above and here:

That one is going to need a straighten and weld fill I would imagine then all of them will get remachined on every outer surface and relacquered after respraying the pockets with anthracite rustoleum.

      Priorities right...

Also going to be making proper alu. center caps as opposed to the chrome plastic ones. Thinking about spinning a few little nose cones for the caps like this:

        Machined off the worst dents.

Hand emery clothed with paraffin & talo waxed to here.

3 stage drill mop and compound polish.Very almost mirror finish, will have to redo at some point.

Paint the pockets and machine up the face next, bit nervous about that bit tbh. Do not want to fook them up!! Cannot wait to get rid of some wheel gapage..

So it turns out I did not need to remake the bolt covers as that plastic chrome finish can be polished with scotchbrite. Gave the face a quick machine as well as another polish to the dishes and spun the nose cones today. One is mega happy although I'm still wanking over the thought of airlift...

So the manifold/adapter for the ITB's never materialised, funny that! So had to get creative with the pillar drill and band-saw and attempt to make my own, Could of got this laser cut but I needed an excuse to buy some new hole saws and a power-file. power-file rocks!

Work buddy spun up this bomb like affair that's going to be an airbox for the trumpets. I span up the flange for the air intake that's going to be fed by an snorkel/air scoop on the passenger side.

Also picked up a pair of adjustable drop links for the impending lowering springs install.

Cool! I want a Fiat x19 for that cool little targa, sharp edge style. Now I want one of these because they have that style AND have the aftermarket parts to support! Custom DIY everythings get old after having 8 Alfa's...

Yes it is nice to be able to make all this stuff even if some of it never gets used! However there is soo much aftermarket support for this car & engine compared to the MX3 that it seems silly not use some of it.

Front springs and new drop links on along with ARB bushes shit is real tight up front now, no room to chop any coils off though so going to have to wait on more lows. Very happy with the way these are going to look though

Hell yeah worth it just for the sound of open trumpets! Wheels are OZ route turbo, made in the eighties and uber rare in 14's.

Not really done a lot lately Had a slipped disk and twisted pelvis so any major work is a no go for a while! Seem to have some kind of Japanese war/bird/plane theme appearing here what with the turbine wheels, the air intake is kinda bomb shaped and now this> The designer of the AW11 is said of sort influence from the profile of a Katana sword.

So these seem to suit this car a lot better than on the '3

Well Hello! Still loving this car and driving it everyday. Had the Geo. set-up so its really pinpoint now. Have fallen out of love with air ride for this as I realised it was not right direction. However coils are back on the cards, so are these damn arches that I just cannot leave alone. I want dish and like bigger then any other AW11 that's been before kinda dish, the only way is to bolt on arch it.

These were delivered to me from Ala-plast in Poland, made of ABS and 3.7" wide, plenty big enough for me to fit some 10J's under with plenty of negative offset. Been speaking with the suppliers of the Revo 13" 4 spokes and we have figured the race wheels will clear the calipers, by a mere whisker.. and that's good enough for me so going to order a pair for the rear once I have figured out how much poke I want, thinking 205/60 tire for that Boso look and maybe 235/45 R888's if I ever want to play that game another day.

My workshop shed is being built as we speak and being delivered in 4 weeks time so that will give me somewhere to work even if it is a little on the micro side. I have a smooth rear panel I need to finish along with some amber tint on the reversing lights, Import size number & motorbike style plate LED bolts.

The OZ Route wheels will be up for sale soon as they are all nearly finished, need to fund the front wheels and some MS to run the ITB's

Hello Stanceworkers its a thread resurrection!

Still have and drive this car daily...passed every MOT and runs like clockwork, not really had issues! apart from some rust bubbles

Kept busy with other projects for a while though...

Its a Boy!! Due on 18th April this year.

                            Built my workshop shed up..

and produced my first light sculpture

and then, last night these arrived!

Apologies for the shit pics, it was late..

Got them for £400 including tyres after selling the OZ's for £300.

Could not jack the car down as the caliper fouls, so pics are off fitment with a 25mm spacer.
Wheel specs are 9Jx14 ET0 or 10 its hard to read, and front are 8J with much less dish.

                            Let the games begin...
