Hey guys, it seems that I keep forgetting to update my build thread, but needless to say,
things and stuff have been happening! but first lets have a little recap as to what has been
happening!
So, about 9 months ago I quit my job, for a number of reasons, but mainly, to pursue a
different career. I was going to do some out of town jobs with my buddy doing structural
and b pressure contract welding, however, that fell through as he had a pretty hefty accident
leaving me without the ability to go on contracts as I don't have my j man ticket.
BOOM -- Massive road block in the skyline building progress due to, yet again, a lack of
funds...
(1994 Subaru WRX that I got as a trade for a $1200 truck!)
Fast forward 9 months of doing side jobs and flipping cars (which was awesome until
recently!) while sending out resumes and I FINALLY got a job. and a e38 (which may
turn into a cheap low n slow build!)
So let the progress begin!
Fitted up the GK Tech knuckles on all 4 corners, as well as the TSP1 coils and Movitech
tie rods. Also freshened up the suspension with fresh bushes and ball joints!
Also got the 1jz fitted. Cant believe how well it fits, almost better than the origional rb20
after cutting and hacking the cross member!
anyways should be lots to come, got the patch harness all wired up for the Greddy
E-Manage Ultimate, as well as a drift motion manifold.... which hopefully should be able
to support the weight of that giant HX38G.... I guess time will tell.
Hopefully the next update will be more eventful and not in a year from now
FINALLY I HAVE SOME TIME TO DO STUFF!
although, i have to say, not all my time has been spent on my skyline,
been stuck between projects here and there.
one of which is a pretty gangster 8th gen civic si I turbo'd for the soon
to be brother in law! pretty simple little build but damn this thing hauls
ass.
gotta have some fresh fruit with that fresh forced induction!
so updates on the dirtytwo!
threw on some more proper wheels, shes gonna be mis matched and
crab stanced.
All the poke on the front!
F: Square G8 18x9.5jj +12 w/ 32mm spacer
R: XXR 521 18x10jj +22
Greasy.
Also got the corbeau seat in. LOVE the way it looks and couldn't be
happier with how it feels, finally a hard back comfortable enough for
roadtrippin'!
things are starting to look up! transmission is back in, wiring is half
done and shes ready for her first test start! all thats missing for a
proper first run and drive is turbo oil return line (Stupid ORB fittings)
and a drive shaft! However, the open return line allows for an easy
way to ejecto the moisture out of the crank case!
Anyways gonna have to end the update there, lts of stuff to come as
I have to get this thing driving in time for Ilmotion!
Finally! A moment where I can add a new chapter to the hooptie!
She's is... Was on the road.
I was forced into a bit of a financial situation so I had to sell some things... Including my daily driver.
Ended up taking a little bit of these profits from that sale and got bae running!
She was starting to look pretty good, couple little quarks to work out. Two of which ended up leaving me stranded!
After some bandages, couple to new wires, a new fuel pump and a basic road tune I finally got her dialed in. Also built a greasy haterpipe because I can't route the exhaust out the back until I put a fuel cell in it :s.
And now back on my feet I finally put her away for a long winter hibernation while I daily golden grams.
Definitely plans for some low and slow on this bad boy
Next time, I'll show you how to do body work with a shit load of hardener in -30c!
