Awesome... Bothering with any upgrades to the 5.3? What transmission are you running?

4l80e. I'm probably leaving the 5.3 stock for now.

      Ordering a converter hopefully today/tomorrow.

Nice, gonna be significantly more power than stock anyway, also that interior color is rad. I love tan. Looks like a part off an old Desert Storm Humvee or something

This is fantastic, and perfect power train for a classic work truck. 4l80 should just come in every truck anyway.

Before we finished painting the frame. Just waiting on cab bushings and I can drop it back down. Going to mount the trans and motor permanently tomorrow.

Built a pretty trick hidden compartment behind the factory ashtray door. Pulled the door off the ashtray, and I plan to hinge it, so when it's closed it will look completely factory.

Accommodates a dual needle viair gauge in the middle with 4 of Dloe's manual paddle valves slightly angled toward the dash. I've never seen anyone do this, and it turned out great!

Also got to actuate the front end for the first time. Have some leaking fittings so it deflated pretty quick.

Video of said bags in action. I'm lazy and uploading it to FB is just easy. In the video it's PTC DOT line, but all of it is being changed out for copper. Going to give it some cool bends with bulkheads and make it look vintage.

For those not familiar with truck wheels, what wheels are those from?

22x9 Factory GM transport wheels. They're used to transport all the new high end Denali's, Escalades etc to the dealers. Then they put on the premium wheels, send these back where they are supposed to be destroyed.

They're hard to get and pricey ($1,500 core charge). I just happened to run across them brand new for $400 on CL

Put them on my buddies CNC and we drilled out the centers to fit over the stock early C10 hubs. Now that I have 73-87 disc brakes the center bores are too big. I'm going to end up putting some early chevy caps on them.

Each wheel tire weighs roughly 90lb, but they look absolutely killer.
