Thanks for positive comments. I'm heading off with the trailer tomorrow night to bring it home on Saturday. Before I head back though, I will be doing a photo shoot with Performance BMW Magazine.

    Thanks.

I think it's Schultz underbody rubberised sealant. We steam cleaned the underneath and then baked the shell in the paint booth overnight, just to be certain it was bone dry. All the cavities and inside doors were waxoyled. She should be good for a few years.

    Stunning

What did you use to treat the underbody?

    Thanks guys.

Am literally just a couple of days away from taking it out on the road for the first time.

I've owned it for 3 years and only ever drove it onto the trailer. I plan to get some quality photos done, although there are a couple of magazines asking to do a feature anyway.

Just need to prep and paint rear window louvre next.

Your living the dream! I feel like a car of this caliber is definitely worthy of the real Hayashi streets if you could find a set. It's an amazing car regardless, I know Jenvey makes a nice ITB kit for Miatas as well that I only hear good things about

With the UK's biggest retro car show coming up, I have been pushing hard to get my E21 finished. Unfortunately I hit a few snags, such as the old rad failing, so have had to have a new replacement fabricated from scratch. It seems a shame to hide it away!

I don't want to post any pics till after the first show but I'm really happy with how the paint has turned out. These are just phone pics but hopefully you get the idea?

Decided to run with a rear louvre and no spoilers too.

Well I started a thread for the M3 and I'm now just waiting for that call, to tell me it's painted and ready to collect. Unfortunately, it's likely to be a couple of weeks yet.

My E21 is almost ready to be put back on the road, but I'm currently waiting for the alloy rad to be returned. I salvaged it from my original orange E21, which was destroyed in a fire, but it seems the heat had weakened some joints. The suppliers (AH Fabrications here in the UK) have been fantastic though and have fully refurbished the rad and replaced the main core for me. It will literally be ''as new'' once again.

Although the M52/2.8 engine is a runner, there seems to be an unusual resonating noise on overrun. The stock camshafts were replaced with high lift items (Cat Camshafts) and a lightened, competition spec' flywheel and it is only since fitting these parts, that the noise was noticed. We simply cannot find any explanation and are at a point now, where we are considering removing them and going back to a stock set-up. We will remove the flywheel first though, so that we can re check the timing and confirm all is well with the cams. It's all pretty frustrating though, as the guys at Pristine have been working really hard to finish the car for this years show season.

I've also decided to paint the Rota BM8 I'm running in a satin gold finish. I've not seen any others in gold and I think the contrast will work well against the Laguna Seca blue paintwork. If anyone has seen them in gold maybe they can post a pic?

I did think about it so if there's enough interest, I'm happy to do so.
