SO! I FIXED MY FRICKING WING

to be honest im kicking myself. i've been putting this off since buying the car, (exactly 1 year ago today!) i was skeptical about buying a none genuine wing due to hearing horror stories about they basically not fitting, as well as that, the guy me and all my friends go to to paint stuff wanted £120 to paint it, so i was looking at approx £180 and a wing that didnt even fit properly.

i finally decided to bite the bullet a few weeks back and bought a none genuine wing when i saw the price drop to a mere £36, that was delivered next day to my house, i couldnt argue, it was a bargain. I decided to drop my neighbour a text to see how much he'd want to paint it (hes a painter by trade), i was just hoping it would be a bit less than £120, unbelievably, he said he could take just the panel and do it for free, no cost at all. i was skeptical about getting the colour match, but i removed my fuel filler cap and gave him that too, low and behold, THE NEXT DAY, he knocks on the door with a painted wing, not only was it free, but hes done an incredible job.

so basically, it ended up costing me just £36 to replace. i fitted it myself that evening with my best mate and partner in crime Steve, and it fits pretty well, the gaping is slightly off in places, but i did what i could to amend it, and for £36, i really cannot complain.

here it is with the filler cap i gave him, the match is actually pretty damn impressive!

and just for giggles i thought id add this, you all knew the arch was bad, but the sticker really was a blessing, and VERY stratigically placed!

The final show of the year is coming up next weekend, a new all makes indoor event called Ultimate Stance, i've been asked by the awesome guys at Rollhard to display my car on their stand, so im really looking forward to that! planning to give the car a good deep clean inside and out next week to get it looking its best.

May I suggest shaving the turn signal side repeaters? Just to clean it up a bit...

i quite like them! i like how they follow the crease in the body. not sure where youre from, but i think you have to have a side repeater by law in the UK.

woah thanks! i love the RF's, cant think of anything id rather have, my initial plan with this car was to switch the wheels up every so often, but i genuinely dont think theres anything id like more.

It was a sort of last minute thing, I tried to keep an eye on anyone opening a door or something so I could say hi haha, and I wouldn't get rid of the arch! I think it looks amazing like that, gives it a bit of character

i wasnt really by my car at all for most of the day. next time! to be honest i kind of agree about the arch, i like how the sticker makes it look from a distance, cant imagine anyone is gonna buy it in this state though haha.

maybe, im kind of in and out of love with it lately so it might be going soon for something a bit more adventurous.
