A good friend of mine had one up until about a month ago. If you're not going too low you should be okay

Not really an update, more of a question..

So I bought toyo t1-r's in 195/45 for all four wheels and am having trouble getting the rears to bead to the wheels. Front's are on, but the rear 15x9's won't go. I tried the ether/explosion method as well as a single bead blaster but neither worked... Some suggested trying two bead blasters at once? Do you guys have any tips? It sucks staring at the bbs's and driving around on stocks. Please help!

If any of you are located in Massachusetts/New England I will totally drive to you if you can mount these tires. Obviously any old garage won't do it and I'm running out of options. Thanks!

For what it's worth, I'm running T1R 195/45's on my 15x9 BBS RM's and I had a tire shop do mine. They seemed to get them on with no problem, so maybe it's worth calling some local shops and see if they're willing to do it

I've called a few. They mostly just laugh at me and tell me it's impossible and/or illegal. Starting to believe them. This sucks.

It's honestly not even that big of a stretch. These are my RM's, same exact spec as you're running, and as you can see it's pretty mild actually:

don't know if this helps and i have no idea how you guys call them in America but i used a " Air bazooka" or Air canon. Basically a sort of compressed airtank wich can release all the air at once in the side of the tire. it'll bead almost instantly.

Got my 165/45 fitted with no problem on a 15X8 thanks to this method. think it's even more stretch then your setup so it probally will work on yours to.

                very nice E21 btw

i shouldn't be daily driving this:

After a lot of struggle getting the rear tires to bead, I mounted them in my driveway using the bike tube method. They're on there, but not balanced. I'll do that later.

I spun the front coils down another half inch, but am hesitant to go lower, as the IS valence drags a lot already. I'd like to minimize the front wheel gap, but don't want to get rid of the IS styling of the car. So for now, the front will stay at this height.

As far as the rears go, I'm thinking of grinding away the inner metal lip as opposed to rolling it. Anyways, my friend shot of great photos the other day.

Went to Staggered 2014 yesterday, and lowered the car a little more in the front. Don't have any good pictures from the show so if you do please post them! Thought I'd share the new ride height...

                              blew up a strut lol

As mentioned above I blew up one of the stock replacement mk1 strut inserts after cruising at this height for one day. They were fine until then. Does anyone know of a better insert that will fit or a step to be taken to avoid blowing them out at this height? Thanks!
