    Happened this weekend

Got the boost pipes back from paint on friday and bolted them on:

Also threw on the hood and fenders, still need to adjust them. A barn find?:

Loaded the car on trailer on saturday and transported it to paint shop:

Pics after first wash were in my last post.

Engine bay about ready, only plug wires and some small stuff missing:

Bumpers, skirts and all the small stuff painted:

Rear quarter of the car needed some minor fixes and the hood had to be re-lacquered:

Lots of small things done last week..

Final buffed two of the wheels on saturday morning. Lips were polished with Britemax Final Shine and the painted parts were treated with GTechniq C5:

Cleaned, soda blasted and painted the front indicator reflectors. I used paint for plastic bumpers as base and chrome paint for surface, both in rattle cans.

Threw in the center console and mounted the front seats :

    Self tapping screw f*ck up!!

Installed the weather strips and bottom window mouldings on the doors, plus side mirrors. Caused the first scratches on the paint in the process..

Had to clean up the inner surfaces of front wings (as the whole undercarriage has already been painted).
So fabricated a stand for the wings (outer surfaces are already painted), cleaned out the rust prevention goo, sprayed new stone chip coating and painted the damn things during weekend:

Forgot to take a pic after painting..

    Some goods:

Boost and intake pipes mocked up, most of the seams still to be done. Plus 2" pipes need beads made:

Air filter box got its lower mounting points, also made a bracket for boost solenoid on the side of the box. I think i need to add some kind of wire mesh to the intake opening.

Planning on getting the pipes electro plated before painting them black. Worried about them rusting on the inside surfaces..
