Haha yes, they are fake 3 piece wheels. The had what looked like bolts in them but they were plastic. Some were broken so I just drilled them all out.

I drove the car about 100 miles today. Overall I am pleased. For the money spent it rides pretty well. I think a little stiffer spring in the rear would be good. My plan now is to drive it, and maybe do some more cosmetic stuff.

Thanks for the compliments. Small update, I brought the front end up 1". The car looks more level now. I also noticed that my wheel clearenced its self on one of the spring collars. Now that I have gone up there is plenty of clearance, Clarence.

Tomorrow I am going to double check the pinion angle. I have my doubts about how I set it the first time. Thursday after work I am going to align the car. After that I am going to start driving it regularly and hopefully get some decent pictures in daylight.

wow that's looking great! You're pretty much doing the same exact thing I'm doing to mine right now! I just got my front coilovers built with 2" shorter strut tubes and 10" 250lb springs. I'm really glad to see that the 10" springs aren't too long, I was worried about that with mine! And I'm having a buddy make adjustable torque rods and a panhard bar for me too right now. Props for doing it right on the cheap!

I had a busy day today. I made a battery hold down, changed the oil, checked transmission and rear end fluid, adjusted pinion angle, adjusted the panhard rod, bled the brakes, adjusted toe, and drove the car!

Check out my crude battery hold down. Why yes that is flat stock and all thread, thanks for noticing.

So I was way wrong about the 10" springs being too long. I set them at the lowest setting, and now need to take them back up a little. When I am in the car it feels like I am leaning forward. When I drove the car I just went down my street and it was scrapping everything. Here are a couple pictures, I will post more later.

Haha, as if spring compressors weren't already sketchy enough.

I had 400lb springs on my coilover sleeves on KYB excel G's(same as the GR-2 but black). Rode nicely. If those monroe struts are like the KYB's you should be able to run a much stiffer spring down the road.

But, my car had struts and they are probably stiffer than the volvo shocks.

I'm just trying to say that aftermarket factory replacement shocks are very durable.
I have a feeling I will end up with a shorter, stiffer spring, but I want to see how this is first.
