I love it. It looks cool as fuck. Your car keeps goading me into making my RS rwd, but I love grip/autocross.
Also jking....post a build for yours.

Also, picking up a set of cheap 18x8's off a friend for 100$. From a supra, 5x114.3 bolt pattern so I need to pick up adapters. That'll sit pretty flush, don't really give a shit if they rub i'm gonna run into shit anyway, rubbing tires is the least of my concern.

Oh! I haven't posted a picture of my "omg hella jdm stance flush drift" rising sun fender.

There's still a fair chance of that but I have heads laying around.

You're lucky. When I bent my rod and shattered my piston in my ej251 it ruined everything, all the valves bent and wouldn't seal because of the piston shards everywhere. Injectors were messed up. At Its good you can reuse the heads though.

It's getting a new shortblock but using the same heads so I've gotta change head gaskets and timing belt.

get dem headgaskets and timing belt service done on the new one before it goes in. My belt was in good shape at 120K but headgaskets were fucked.

Broke a rod after beating the snot out of it every time I drive it, so I pulled the motor over the weekend and the engine bay is getting wire tucked and mildly shaved and a new shortblock is going in.

Thanks man! So I pulled an all nighter and welded the rear diff, installed a set of coilovers and painted the rear wheels a super obnoxious pink after pulling them off the parts car. When I installed the coils I added a fair amount of caster and camber. Havent gotten an alignment done yet so I'm unsure on numbers but I know I have about 4* of negative camber in the rear, since these coils were installed at the ride height of my girlfriend's outback. The 420 lb weight loss in mine makes it ride higher, but not much higher lol. The turn in and wheel centering are vastly improved, and its pretty low still. I put on my hella jdm yo lawn edging lip and it sits 1-1.5" off the ground. Rolled the fenders with a BFH because ain't nobody got time fo' dat. Bonus is, I got pictures and video. Tonight's project is exhaust, something fun and retarded is on the menu.

Very weld. much jdm. wow drift!

Battle scar #2, got into a fight with a curb and the curb won.
More fun things to come tonight, and I have a video to post.

If you need any RWD stuff let me know, my brother and I built his WRX for drifting and hes got it torn down right now. Got a bunch of wrx axles, two R160 welded diffs (went R180) and an extra 2.5rs transmission which has shorter gears. Also he has WRX seats if you are interested. Located in hamilton MA

Oh, I've also deleted my rear bumper beam. Hey, JDM impreza's don't come with rear bumper beams (look it up, it's true) so why does my outback need one?

UPDATE! My "drift life" has begun! I did my RWD coversion last night before work. Put the car on the lift around 5:30, And drove it home at 9:45 to get ready for work. I don't have pictures, I was more worried about getting it done so i could be at work for 11 lol. It's currently peg-leggin' it, but it spins all the way through first and second without even beating on it that hard. But I'm welding the rear diff tonight cuz it needs moar slide
. The car is no longer a daily, unless I really wanna drive it to work (which has been every day since I decided to not daily it lol
). I have one blown strut, which sucks, so I'm gonna slap on the set of the old coilovers from my girlfriend's car, that has a blown rear as well (dust boot deteriorated from either salt or penetrating oil, dust got into the seal
), but at least it'll be less likely to want to roll. And by flipping the tophats so the camber adjustment looks like this \ /, when I add negative camber (which i'm gonna) I'll also add positive caster, which a subaru needs DESPERATELY when you make it rwd. I'll get some pictures tonight though! And hopefully some video.
