Well, I'm running modified 69 Camaro shocks up font with quite a few coils hacked off. I would take my time cutting them and just do maybe two to start with. They come down quick.

Rear of car after clay. Badges and handle removed for easier polishing....

After just 1 cut pass the old paint is looking much better ....

A few updates.... Yesterday the PDR guys spent most of the day working all over the car, lots of small stuff that would not show well in photos but this large one looks much better ...

PDR guys hard at it ...

Some interior panels where removed to gain better access for the PDR work, then they where repaired where coming lose

Tops rails are also starting to come lose, they will be removed and then reinstalled with 3/16" 120* countersunk rivets

so nice, its gonna look like new with some TLC. I'm curious to see how you rims turn out. The ones on the convertible are way too big, but I think 16's have the right proportion

The wheels on the convertible, the Mercedes Bent car are 20", but that's a much bigger car.

16" should be good for this little coupe

I think your wheel idea is a great one. I don't like the look of large diameter wheels on older mercs either. Sub'd to see where this goes.
