Plans so for are to keep it really original, lower it, add some 16" wheels and fat whitewalls.

Beside going with Air Bags, what else have you guys done with springs and shocks ?

How many coils to cut and what shock options ?

Anything else I should know ?

Nice find, airbags are a lot of work but worth it to keep the ride comfortable. There's a few guys with cut coils on here, I'm not sure if they still ride well, haven't done it myself. Check things like the fuel system and brakes as they tend to get overlooked by previous owners, then the rubber hoses etc split after some use

Yea I was hopping someone on here has worked out a good spring / shock combo.

The guy I got it from just dumped $7K into not long ago to make sure it was running right and the A/C worked, so I'm off to a good start.

          Thx for the info !

Just got these light weight CLK wheels 16x7 and only 13lbs, you guys have seen them before. I like the classic mod look so I plan to mount the center section of a Benz hubcap on them ....

                  Add this center cap....

After they are polished, painted and have the hubcap center on them they should look a bit like ....

Interested to see where the CLK+cap goes... I'm on my 2nd set of CLK's currently. They're so light it's ridiculous.

wow this thing is a gem, im very excited to see what you do with it!
i would go for billistein shocks and cut however many coils you want. start with 3 maybe? not sure on these older benzes but i do know they are looooong.

                              Thanks guys.

I'm hoping to get more input on what other guys with W114 / W115 have done with a shocks and springs.

Any old Benz guys out there want to add to this ?
