I must admit I forgot to add the photos of the one way check valves I installed to prevent said problems. Could it be possible your friend may have installed them backwards? To me that would be the only plausible way you could create a positive pressure strong enough to damage seals and gaskets.

That doesn't sound too good... With the open dump out the hood the exhaust shouldn't have much back pressureOriginally posted by Exami View PostHe got small amouth of back pressure on exhaust. -> pressure to engine breather -> huge pressure inside engine -> oil started coming out of wrong places.

Like it got a crap load if vacuum and blew something out?Originally posted by Exami View PostNicework man, only consern is that vacuum thingy on the exhaust. work well if you have big enough exhaust and almost at the end of exhaust. friend of mine almost blew his engine with thing like that...
Other than that keep it up, you must have alot of time and nice set of tools to pull all that off! always nice to follow when someone has time to finish pieces off like they should be

I will just say that stainless is a cruel untrustworthy bitch and loves to move around, even when you think, "that cant possibly move, its sch tubing and so thick" it will moveOriginally posted by anti.engineered View PostI always wondered - why are the rose joints necessary? manifold expansion going to move the turbo that much?
Yes you nailed it on the head I love the flexibility of hiemsOriginally posted by DeltaAlpha9 View PostMaybe just ease of installation?
Bingo, you have to take advantage of the bits that let you get creative, keeps things fun. It takes a little time and money but anyone can do this kind of stuff its just a processOriginally posted by mikey G View PostPeace of mind maybe? lol. If I had the skill i'd fab shit for every little thing as well

If I remember right he's using v-band clamps for all the hot pipes. Since the motor will move on the motor mounts, the turbo is going to want to move the same amount since there won't be any give in the piping.Originally posted by anti.engineered View PostI always wondered - why are the rose joints necessary? manifold expansion going to move the turbo that much?
That's my thoughts on it/

The turbo bracket is sick. The heat shield craftsmanship is unreal. I love it, this is a build thread.
