Couple updates! Went on a cruise/hangout/BBQ with some friends at Chapter 11 227 and have a couple nice pictures from it!

Also finally got my interior somewhat together. Still need a wheel, harnesses, and rear seat delete....then I'll be happy haha. But I am liking this subtle Hawaiian theme!

Front lip is being painted currently so that'll be on soon. Car is heading to SF on Friday for Evolution! Anyone from S/W going to be there? Love to meet some new people!

        Thanks guys!
Yeah, I saw them a while ago, but I've been broke as fuck since I got the car tuned. My buddy put down 240rwhp on a dynojet in 90 degree weather with the same tune with an intake, test pipe, and catback. The stock clutch is still holding just fine too

Those red seats make me sooooo jelly. I love the Hawaiian theme going on, it looks awesome.

Well, got back from Blox Evolution last week and I gotta say, it was an awesome show...worth the 15 hour drive. Speaking of the drive, I got so many looks while I trailer-ed the Gen across Cali.... alotta soccer moms starring

But I got the lip on right before the show and got badged by Chapter 11 right before as well. Also used my spare vanity plate as a visor on my passenger side. With the lip on, I sit the bumper on the pavement when I air down... 'been wanting to do that for awhile now.

            At the show:

And the picture that means the most...the one posted by StanceNation in their coverage. As stupid as it may sound, this has been a dream of mine for awhile now, well before my civic. Don't really know why, but it has and it felt great seeing my car there.

Got bored at the show, so I made my passenger side dash covered in bumper stickers...

Awesome build! These cars have really been growing on me, particularly the early models like yours. Still can't believe the Koreans would be willing to take the risk of introducing basically a RWD sports car onto our market, but god bless 'em for doing it.

Did you ever manage to get the remainder of your clear bra off? I can give you some tips on pulling it away with minimum paint risk.

Still haven't had big enough balls to pull it off...any tips would be extremely appreciated!

Best thing to do with most clear bras is to pick up a corner with a fingernail until you can grasp it with your index finger and thumb. Then, stretch the film straight back - not up, but back - parallel to the surface of the body. Stretching the film will help break the adhesive bond with the surface, and keeping stretching straight back, flat against the paint will minimize the amount of force trying to pull the paint off the metal. You'll likely have some adhesive left on your paint, which typically comes off easily enough with 3M adhesive remover in the red can.

I used to install the 3M film for a living, and removing it that way, I never once lifted factory paint off a car. That said, aftermarket paint, and particularly the terrible airbrush jobs that lot detailers do when a car gets a scrape on the lot, bonds to the surface with varying degrees of tenacity, and depending on what's on your car, it's possible you could get some paint lifting. Nevertheless, it's a much better technique than just ripping the stuff off.

Could you just use a "tint remover" to pull the bra off?

Couple little updates. Traded adapters with a guy and got a wider set in the back so now I'm at 19x10 -7. Fitment is pretty good too

Also took out half of my rear seats so I can bolt in my harnesses. Just picked up a set of NRG for now but I want to get a set of the Takata Drift series or whatever they're called in the future.

Thought I'd also share an ongoing project between me and some friends; an e30 "rally car". A friend picked this up dirt cheap and I've been given the opportunity to work on it and drive it around (haven't yet because we keep busting oil pans lol). Its a beater for sure but its awesome in its own little way.

AAAAND another picture I found of my car at Blox.

Right now I'm mocking up a new exhaust setup. Not really digging the systems for sale so I'll be making my own. I'm basically planning to build a replica mega fireball exhaust. I've always loved the look on VIP cars and I think it'd make the rear end of the Genesis more unique!

Okay, easy enough. Do you recommend using heat?
