Hey, quick question; how are you able to achieve that amount of negative camber? I know the stock adjustments allows you to get close to -4 but I can barely pass -2...

      Most dealerships are fucking jokes.

They wanted $100 just to look at my car when I took it in to get them for transmission problems under warranty. All they had to do was add some BMW transmission fluid additive(It's a TSB for gennies with noisy/clunky transmissions), but they would refuse to talk to me any further unless I payed them...

I hope that the dealership pays for the damage in full

It is 2 control arms you need to adjust, .... i forget which it has been a few years, there is an obvious one (which you are probably adjusting) and another that some alignment shops miss.

my rear for ref when you go in for alignment is at -4.5-4.7 on OEM stuff.

So bad news. I wasn't able to take the Genesis to FDLB. Here's how it went downhill: Air ride was done towards the end of Thursday. Fitment was pretty wack because I couldn't get enough camber all around so when I air'd it out, the fenders would rest on the tires..

Spent the rest of the night trying to pull the fenders to clear the meaty tires but I gave up after only getting one rear completed after 4 hours. On Friday morning, I took the car to get aligned, got some more camber, and planned on leaving before noon to make the deadline of 6pm but on my drive home from the Firestone, my Accuair controller displayed an error in the rear driver side bag. Got home, looked at all the lines in the manifold, then looked under the car where I find the bag "crimped"...

Basically in combination with the rear bracket not really being aligned with the top mount and the process of the bag deflating improperly put the bag like >> when it needs to be | |. Tried for hours to get the bag to seat itself on the pillow properly but I couldn't get it. Rented a UHaul trailer to trailer the car to the shop to fix the bracket but the car was too wide for the trailer (a good thing I guess?) so I called a tow truck. Here she is on the tow truck with the freshly powdercoated wheels (color is fantastic in the sun, close up)...

After a couple hours of work, it was decided that a tapered sleeve bag in the rear is not the best way to go, so custom brackets are being made for double billow bags in the back. However, this meant the car could not go to the show. The shop (AutoCulture) even offered me their trailer to trailer the car to California but it was too late and I'd never be able to make it by the deadline. That was the end of weeks of time crunching hard work.

But FD was still nice, and I found a Genesis with really awesome bolt-on flares that I kinda really want on mine. They're kinda hard to see.

Also, if anyone in Arizona is looking for an air ride shop, check out Auto Culture. Great, honest work comes out of their shop and they're super helpful. They have definitely helped me more than I can say and have even bent over backwards to try and get the Genesis to the show on time. Excellent people with a true passion!

Thanks! If I remember correctly, you adjust the obvious one (cambolt on lower control arm) and the one that adjusts toe? The alignment shop I went to said they tried this and it didn't work...I'll try another one after I mess around with it more.

Let's hope. Honestly, the damage isn't that bad at all, but it still irritates me that that's how they operate. Never going back there after all this is done!

Finally got everything right with the suspension! Just need to pull my fenders some more and trade out the 30mm spacers up front for 15-20mm.

Also got my front lip in so that'll go to paint soon. Gosh I'm beyond excited to finally be on air after two years of waiting!

Just bought a new pair of spacers so I can make the front sit properly. And I'll be painting my new lip soon...or something.

                    Some updates:

smaller front spacers on, front fitment is much better. I'm able to almost put the front bumper on the ground.

Civic finally sold so I have some part money. Also will get some more parts after all these graduation gifts of moolah . And I'm really happy with who I sold the car to. There were two potential buyers, one who wanted it because he loved every aspect of it, and the other wanted it for his 16 year old daughter. As selfish as it sounds, I choose the person that will take care of the car and understand its limits and whatnot, not the one who just wanted it because it was relatively cheap.

Still trying to get the rear fitment under check. I need smaller tires lol.

Also snapped a sensor arm while I was driving home from a meet. Rear driver side bag slammed to the ground while I was doing 50. Burnt rubber was the main aroma from that event.

Found a Genesis, had to park next to it. I've only encountered friendly Genesis owners. It seems like a friendship is born because we have the same car, which is awesome to me especially after being in the civic scene for 2 years...

Also...got off work after a 10 hour shift to find that someone backed into my car and left without a note. Bumper only has a scuff on it, but the thought of them leaving without notifying me is really upsetting. Good thing I'm re-painting my entire bumper though!

Random picture taken while I was working on my car and a bar thing.

Glad you sold the civic to someone who would appreciate it. I wish I could say the same about my old car

18"s look awesome when it's this low. Carmax did more damage than that just driving my car around their parking lot.

Well, a couple things have changed with the car...

Picked up a rear upper control arm from PBM because of my wonky camber adjustments. With this setup, I can reach probably around -8 or -9 degrees of camber. I'm at -7 just so I can finally sit the back down. Hopefully new wheels will come soon (Rotiforms are for sale).

Can see the camber from the back pretty easily haha. Also got my new vanity plate!

Picked up a set of seats too. Already have the driver side installed, just waiting for the rails for the passenger. And I need some harnesses now.

More updates to come! (hopefully on that damn ducktail spoiler)

Yeah, selling a car that has so much work in it is tough. That's the only downside of building cars...and the fact that its a money pit haha.

I know that feel bro. Definitely a bummer. Car looks great! Have you ever considered repainting the wheels a bronze color?

Haha they're iridescent bronze currently, but the camera and the sun changes the color constantly. Most of the time, they look gunmetal or tan
