Ahhh I finally get it, thanks for explaining it to me. How many degrees of camber can you add with this?

Very nice interior also, I got the privilege of seeing it in person too at a local drift event. Love that car so much. The plaid looks great for oem.

      • did a few things, but i was feeling super lazy today so its amazing anything got done at all.

        took off the harness/coolant lines/accessory belt/accessories

also started mocking up the core support, got too tired when it came time to start cutting out the mounts to be welded in so i gave up after that

a friend picked me up some 16 gauge steel to redo the big flat sections over the frame rails so they'll be nice and sturdy. that should get done tomorrow since i only work a short day, and ill be gettin some nut serts from fastenal to mount the core support. there will be 8 bolts holding it in place when all is said and done. should work perfectly

all black motor, using high heat paint on the block and head and most likely same stuff on the valve cover

                • do the ///m colors on the valve cover in a slant formation. it'll give the car another reason to pop da hood (where da hood at?)

i like that idea but it wont go with any of the other colors of the car unfortunately

                            • This thing is definitely starting to look wicked. Can't wait to see how it comes out. Progress is looking good too man. You're actually moving like lightning in comparison to a lot of other builds. I almost went the 3.0L route too, but decided that I didn't have the money to completely rebuild an m20 from the inside out, so now I'm just boosting it for the bitches. Think I'm selling my RS's to fund it unfortunately, but wheels come and go.

The problem with polishing an m50 valve cover is that the metal underneath is covered by the plastic coil pack cover. I'm kinda stuck with painting it if I want them to both flow, which I do.

At the moment I'm thinking of going with stone white ( the color of my wheels) possibly with some pearl thrown in. I might get a couple valve covers to swap out when I get bored haha.

Also I'll just update while I'm here. Mounts for the core support are 80% done, all that's left is weld in the nuts to the frame rails.

Got the motor completely stripped as far as I'm going with it, and painted the block and head satin black. I might switch to flat black if I decide I don't like it but so far I'm a fan.

Also I cut out the flat sections over the frame rails as well as the stock steel underneath so I can redo them with 16ga instead of 22ga. Plus removing the metal underneath will eliminate water sitting and getting trapped up inside.

Pictures won't upload from my phone, I'll get them up tomorrow
