Thanks! Your snow day was definitely better than mine, you are blessed with AWD and I have a 99 altima, which is less than ideal!

Update of the day, Bassett racing wheels are installed and the fitment is tight! I love the look, not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it looks bad ass! My friend filmed me taking the car around the block, which resulted in the cops showing up after 5 minutes, luckily I had already closed the garage door and started to leave, so really there was nothing they could do or say. Sorry about my friend's shaky hand and the sideways video, but you get the idea! Only 39 days before this car comes out for the summer!

Here we are, spring has arrived and the car is out! So far its running great, had a coolant leak due to a few pin size holes in my heater hose, but after replacing it, all is well! I have decided I want a more functional stance to enjoy the added power, and the car is really starting to have my touch to it!

Next step is to wire in a switch for launch control on the megasquirt, paint the lettering on the tires white and lower the coilovers down for my photoshoot this weekend! Turns out a local photographer wants to shoot this thing, which is pretty cool.

      Updates are:

-Home made radiator ducting out of old license plates
      -New heater hose
-Mazdaspeed 3 Rally armor urethane mudflaps up front i had laying in the garage,
      -Slightly raised suspension
-Removed fender linings and re-modified fenders to avoid rubbing with the new offset.
-I painted a pin-up girl on the hardtop roof one night.
      -Home made front plate holder

Here is the height i will go back to for the shoot, maybe even lower:

So today was interesting, I was drifiting and blew the crap out of my diff, too much power mixed with a clutch kick and it grenaded! Got it on video! 2 way mazdaspeed diff going in this weekend!

As for my car, the feature is on line!

Few people in life are willing to step out and start something that not everybody would. Most of these people set a bar that people with the same interests and goals try too match up too. That’s why...

Alright, well clearly nobody cares about this build, but I will update anyways cause it helps me keep track.

My differential completely grenaded during a parking lot drift session. Pinion gear exploded and I had to get a tow home. I took this as a sign to ditch the open diff and opted for a Mazdaspeed Japan 2 way LSD. The same one commonly used in spec miata racing. This thing locks HARD. Its noisy, but lots of fun.

So after the car being off the road for 2 weeks due to the blown diff, I finally got it all ready and back on the streets! Or so I thought... On my way to work in the morning, i noticed a really bad exhaust leak, and the car was not boosting. After popping the hood, I found my manifold was cracked entirely around the flange, and there were several cracks everywhere.

It was time to move on from the thin Begi manifold and go the custom route. The new manifold is made out of Schedule 40 steel and nicely tig welded. On the way to the fab shop, my exhaust hanger broke, and the rewelded begi manifold cracked again. By the time I got there, the exhaust was held on by a clothes hanger and the exhaust leak was brutal.

              New manifold:

Finally I got everything installed again today, and the car runs. This was supposed to be a small build that I was going to daily all summer. I now work full time just to keep the car running, and am thankful for every day the car survives and drives. This project has been a huge headache and it is not over yet.

Got the bike out today with the beautiful weather and took it to the park! I also took a few minutes to install my shaved valve cover. I ditched the blue and went with a sort of retro grey instead!

I still read it! I appreciate a nice NA!
                Z32's rule! So do (surprisingly) non-leaking T-Tops
