New Radiator and Flex a lite fan setup for the car.

Before the carnage.

Decided when pulling the interior and stuff.. To have this seat fixed, made an appointment and dropped it off with the Upholster. He charged me 200 bucks.

Motor is out... Lots of brackets, holes and things to eliminate and shave. New brake lines are also on the list, as well as the Wilwood 4 piston kit I have.

Dash is out... Heater Core removed as well as the AC components and HVAC units...
Plus I needed backside access to shave the bay. This also makes it easier to clean up my wiring for the reroute.

Another shot of the bay before.

My crack free dash <3

Motor I need to break down, clean up and repaint.

Lots of things to omit and shave here.

Here's the finished product on the seats. They look great. After looking carefully at this picture I realized my Khaki shorts stained my seats! lol I have to clean the grey.

Hardline setup.

Dash, and motor are coming out Saturday

New Plate for the Manifold

Old false floor is out, new one will be framed with 1x3s or 2x4s because I'll need a little more room to hide the two compressors, battery and the spare.

"Podium" For the manifold

Lines still need to be polished, but progress has been made.

I think polished copper is going to win, but I'm going to see what a combo would look like.Originally posted by hinrichs View PostI think a mix of polishing alum and copper for the hardlines would look good with the wheels and scheme you have going on now.
Cant really go wrong either way.
Thanks manOriginally posted by CDeez5 View PostNow I'm super jealous. wish my rocco was that nice!
Some of it I did, some of it I sent out to hi-tech plating in California.Originally posted by austin2112 View PostLooks amazing! Who did your gold plating if you dont mind me asking

Think I'm going to go with something similar to this.
Except 3P has six ports coming down, I have to look at some designs, I'm over thinking my layout in my head.

Thank you.
Sorry guys a lot of the pictures are dead.
I'll do my best to try and fix them... but I lost the old hosting.
At work yesterday decided to color match the air tank.

Tossed this in just to see how it would look. I like it, Not sure if I'm going to use Aluminum Hardlines or Copper. I have both for now.

So air happened finally.
Performance series on 3P
I plan on doing hardlines in the trunk.
I have a 440c Vlair compressor on 1/4 lines.
Doing some research now on Air installs. Basically thinking and brain storming on hardline ideas without going to crazy, and also tank options.
Color matched air tank with copper? Or Polished lines?
But finally I started moving on this project again.

Fall update.
Still waiting on my wheels to come back from the Chromers.

Pretty sure I've decided to pack it in for 2015.
Start my winter work early sine it's already September. I thought about H2oi, but I don't think I'm going to make it.
Going to be pulling the engine, and shaving this thing to a bare minimum. I've thought about it for a long time. But it's time I've already started pulling it. It's pretty much ready to drop out.

Rain tray
Power Steering
Battery
Coolant Bottle
All going to get deleted, and or hidden.

Already started gold plating more things.
<3 Weber trumpets.

Because I'm never happy I fixed another hood.

I'm also going to be under taking another project in addition to shaving the bay. I'm going to be finally caving to the dark side of air ride. I'm going to start pieceing together parts slowly. I want to do a nice hard line setup for the trunk area with all gold / chrome accents. I have to start reading up and learning about what I need to get etc.

Also made a fan shroud for the first time, it's not beautiful but definitely function-able.

I made it out of aluminum, and was my first time working with aluminum sheet metal

Wheels are in California getting chromed, so I figured I'd finally change a few things... Finally installed this gold mount last saturday. This is a terrible job, it's the worst job on a mk1 volkswagen in my opinion it sucks.

These two are going in next.
So I've made a list of things I'm doing while the car sits on jack stands and waits for the wheels.
1) Gold Mounts + Alternator install
2) Fan shrould
3) New Water Pump + Water wetter and low temp thermostat
4) Polished ni copper brake lines
5) Cerakote the brake calipers
6) Regret not shaving the bay

I miss driving her <3 this was June
