Well, im runing on cutted oem springs, and those works good. Sounds like you got proper shocks. There is not whole alot "special" things todo in W201 suspension, just make sure all control arms are good and maybe add camber arm on rear suspension. on alignment go for 0.3degrees overall toe in (both axles, this is not what they aim for normally) but will make the car more stable and nicer to drive long way.Originally posted by alexandermjoyce View PostHey, I just stumbled upon this thread. Quick question: do you have any tips for doing suspension on a w201? I'm replacing the suspension on my '93 190e this weekend and then driving it across country. Figured I would ask if you had any little tricks. I picked up some Bilstein shocks, Vogtland springs and some OE strut mounts. Haven't heard the best things about those springs, but keeping this car on a budget. Thanks!

Awesome build. I'm a little curious why all the trouble for a BMW motor when the M104 is just as cheap and easier to install.
Still very cool.
