Wow it's almost as dusty as mine!

This thing is such a great piece of engineering. I really envy the engineering skills

    Rad mount

    Hooks to easy mounting..

    Works

Front end in place, Intercooler missing.. From firewall to bumper, basicly every single millimeter is used :p

So.. i was hoping that i could get this thing started on august.. my summervacation went and hands was full. Helped 2 of my friends get their cars started and running.. now those are done, at least my part.. spent some time tuning and fixing bikes as well ... but that means i got new parts so not started yet, but moving on!

    W124 500E Swaybar !

Fits like a glove with the M50

Got the steering wheel as my birthday gift, which was nice.. light modification had to be done to fit nardi horn button with snap-off quick release..

ps. dont mind the wiring just look at the wheel

Fuel pump setup almost done, and wiring done pumps work, pluming done...

    Engine harness connector

Slight mod on the radiator.. now i can use stock E34 525i hoses

    Time for another update

I wasnt happy with the shift linkage i made years ago.. so i had to make another one...
    some time with lathe..

and finished piece next to the old one..

    ALOT better?

Next up.. gearbox in to benz..

    Next up was the engine...

    And end product...

It almost seems like it should be there eh?

Also i need to lower it just a bit on the front ... but sits quite nice..

    And then... screamer pipes

    Got something done for benz..

Clutch slave cylinder fitted (hydraulic release bearing?!) anyway seems ok centered, i think my measurements are also correct cause...

Fitment seems ok from the peek hole.. Tilton states that the bearing should have 4 to 5 mm cap from release bearing to clutch..

    new better bolts :p

    Clutch line + bleeding line...

And how the adapter is made:

And last but not least, specs from tilton how to install hydraulic bearing with new clutch...

    Benz has working clutch!

    Time for another update..

I got my missing bits for clutch.. (release bearing)

And with that cut here instruction:

After that, made some measurements... turns out its nogo.. not the first step backwards on this project...

Well that being said.. onto new way to deal with the issue, hydraulic release bearing from tilton.. and for that i need some way to mount it.. and here we go again..

    Piece of 8mm thich aluminium..

And boom, now missing the new release bearing ^o)

    And one extra shot

    And then we continue...

Ext manifold came back from coating:

Aaaand the new flywheel is here..

So.. i had issue that gearbox main shaft wont reach the stock bearing on crank..

so.. I started with mounting of the flywheel..

Then milled spacer for the bearing..

    Then mounted the bearing

Torqued the flywheel(100nm), redlocktite (weak one)

And then the clutch, clutch not yet torqued but mounted and ready to be torqued..

    Logical reasoning
I am, of course, biased with which is "easier".. but sometimes things seem very confusingly used in Finnish - for example, "tinaus" (not lyijyys) when referring to body-leading
    Maassa maan tavalla

12V system shouldn't create magnetic field, also doing twisting like this is motorsport standard of wiring, it should take out possible interference.

Random question - is there any particular reason you are labelling your wiring loom in English?
