why did u delete the sunroof?

or did i read over that
rauchsilber is the upcoming color, but i need to fit all the parts before i can take it to paint.. so i dont need to make more mounts or anything that sort after paint..

Yes i did delete sunroof, more room for head + helmet + less weight + less broken bits..

These W201 has pretty commonly issues with the sunroof, didn't work on this one and works poorly on my other merc also..

    Back to emissions
So its back onto exhaust manifold i made up my mind and i will not do it my self. i get more professional than my self work on it but on the other hand i needed to make a jig for the manifold + downpipe to make sure they both fit when the manifold is done.

So that was the spot i wanted the turbo in, give nice room for both manifold + downpipe, now making the downpipe, bought some piping..

So that is 'planned' not going to weld those until i get the manifold, just in case that i need to make some small adjustments or something like that.. you never know

    The roof is on fire!
Ok, so far things have gone somewhat smoothly.. but this time it goes south but there is way to fix it!

So i started patching up the sunroof... cutted piece to fill it, that went well..

    Tapped it in

That went well also, then started the issues, continues to tapping until i endup with:

So i tried to stretch the metal with hammer..

Didnt get it good enough.. so i bought this:

New roof.. im going to only swap the middle part, take of the original spotwelds and redo those when attaching it back.. i hope this endups better than the previous roof 'fix'

You may speak for the black W201 benz? there is clean pics out there, but i just drive and trash that one, last time i washed that black benz is 6months ago.. Its made for to trashing and driving on rev limiter! , no not really i try to keep it intact so i can go work on my other benz in garage :P

But this build will come out as super clean one. so stay tuned!

not sure if this pic of the black benz never aired there in stanceworks.. superclean, last time i washed it

Well i hope it wont kill me!

If anyone got mad ideas how to run exhaust manifold your visions are welcome!

I just started making some plans / 3d version of exhaust manifold..
Lines shown in picture is some sort of "guidelines" how the enginebay is set etc.

    Holidays for everyone!
So cardan tunnel was modified to fit the gearbox in decent angle, i know that BMW M50 engine should be fitted 30degrees tilted to exhaust side and 2.28 degrees back, the engine the gearbox is from is 20degrees to exhaust side.

Any how that meant i had to go somewhere in the middle so i tilted the engine 24 degrees to exhaust side and about 4 degree to back (due to issue with not enought room)

    And heres the photo:
Had to cut some more to make it fit..

Starting to plan for gearbox mount:

The metal is 50x30x3 profile.. so strenght wise should be enought

Have new gearbox mount in stock + new bushings (altho the gearbox came with both but.. new is new )

Some planing + welding and test fitting and more cutting and planing have been done..

For got to take more photos after this, but tig welded the whole thing together, need some more supports but its good for now.

    Then up for engine mount:
    From 50x50x3 steel
After about 1h of planning and going trough different ideas, cutting and test fitting + cutting some more and this what i end up with:

    And tig welded in place.

Also the driver side engine mount:

That is the key point here, make it look original as possible out side(lower + wider wheels tho) but inside is 'NUTS'
