    Thanks bro!
    -----------

    Started on the other side.

Gave the paint a good roughing up.

Got ready for painting. Just the Etch primer here to protect the metal.

    Etched/Primed

    Started with the bog.

Probably laid it on too thick…

    Started sanding it right down.

Still heaps to do. Then hopefully just finish with some touch ups.

Back on to the first guard I was working on.

Welded back over some of the spots I missed

    Cleaned up the welds.

Then I CRC etch primed it. This stuff is rad. Protects the metal from rust. But you can also weld straight over it. Wish I knew about it earlier!

Took it for another drive around the block. Was still rubbing... :/

    Then I had an idea.

Maybe it's just the fronts rubbing.

Put on the smaller weds wheels, got the flatmates to jump in for extra weight. It was all good!

Now to try get the guards tidied up as much as I can before using any bog.

Haha I'll keep thinking the same as I look back at all my mistakes. Got to start from somewhere though.

I did a bit more last night.

This time I spent more time welding and cleaning up the guard before I moved to rolling it.

None of it is close to perfect. But it’s a great feeling seeing two pieces of metal become one.

Finally started on the other side.

Made a different style tab bracket for this one.

    Welded on

    Time to fill the gap

It was after this point I ran out of mig wire.

Put the rawlings back on as the vsxx won’t fit yet.

I’ve also been busy stripping my friends bike.

    We made this.

    haha

and I’ve been busy making my work party costume.

    Not much of an update.

I decided to put in my better k-break coilovers in the back.

This should stiffen it up quite a bit. So should help with some of the rubbing issues.

    Comparison.

These were super easy to install. 4 bolts and you are in.

    Set the height.

These are much more easy to adjust than the JIC coil overs. Bonus is they won’t need the keeper springs.

Rolled the car out for a moment to snap a pic.

Progress has been slow as I’ve been fixing rust on my Fiat Panda daily Driver.

Last weekend I put in more work into the fender.

It was still sitting on the tyre after trying to roll it as much as I could.

After a lot of effort. I did the most getto thing I could do. I wrapt up a breaker bar in cardboard. Jacked the car up.

Put it in. Lowered the car, and reversed as shown in the video.

Pretty crappy way of doing it, but it gave me a bit more space as you can see.

Pretty warped though. Ah well will take what I can get at the moment.

It’s going to need some shaping.

    Thanks guys,

I finally had a go at rolling the guard last night.

Still need to pull it a bit further.

The shape has warped a bit which is to be expected. But hopefully I’ll get there.

Will try again later on in the week when I get time.

Gutted I can’t retain the look of the original guard. But it would never work with how much it needs stretching.

Weld’s are holding up well. A couple have popped so will re do those before anymore pulling./

Not gonna lie I was a little skeptical when I first saw this thing because it wasn't the prettiest model I've ever seen but I love what you've done with it. Keep it up!

Good work my man, glad to see you got the door jamb flushed up and sorted. Only recommendation is that your spot welds look a little far apart, you might consider going back and adding one between each that you have now. Kudos for doing something different
