After a visit to Montenegro, I fell in love with a imola b5 s4 plowing through the mountains, the understated body style with the exhaust tone of axe murderer. After that i knew i had to have one, so that's what i did i picked up a 2000 Sanatorin s4
Here it is in its stock glory

Shortly after I did a downpipe, exhaust and a 4:1 center diff to shift the power more to the rear wheels and to bring out the sound, plus the power gain was fun

it sat like that for a good bit, the paint job was a lot rougher than pictures show, so I did what anyone else would do and tackled a DIY vinyl wrap job

shaved the head light squierters while i was at it

and the finished product

the full diy write up is located here (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...l-wrap-project!)
Again it sat like that for a good bit. Ended up trading a friend my stock suspension for coil-overs, so it was lowered some.

I also found a deal on some LM reps, 400$ with a set of pilot sport ps2's how could i pass that up?

so i enjoyed it the way it was for about a year, maybe a little longer than came time to swap out the turbos. It just so happened to be my friend had a spare low milage motor laying around that had rods, some rs6 hybrids plus injectors all it really needed was a tune, so we went at it.

after about a gallon of degreaser the bay was actually clean

both motors together

old ko3's

new rs6 hybrids

old motor mounts

heres the new 034 solid mounts

at that point the motor went in, and started up on the first try

unfortunately thats all it did is start, I went to shift into first, nothing, second nothing. At that point i was super aggravated. Hours upon hours of work and the car didnt move. Swapped the slave cylinder out, no luck
swapped the master cylinder out, no luck
So again it was time to drop the trans and take a look inside
Inside i was greeted by this:

somehow under installation the clutch disk bent, so i ordered clutch masters ordered a new fx400 6 puck. at that point all i could do was wait, so a good friend gave me a loaner car.

while my car sat like this:

now you may notice the wrap missing from the fenders. From touching the wrap with greasy hands, the wrap stained very badly it turned almost a yellow color. All around the car it was starting to show its age, although very photogenic in person it wasnt up to par. After about a week the clutch came in, and again i did what anyone would do. I ordered plasti dip.

oh and i also picked up a euro trunk

i peeled the excess off and then took some photos with my buddy

and thats preety much it so far. Im sure im forgetting a few things, I'll get some interior shots up later, need a break from typing all this out. Future plans are to peel the lime green dip off, and spray another color. The lime green was cool for a day, im sick of looking at it. After it gets re-dipped im gonna switch my focus to the interior , as of right now I should be getting a set of red bride seats for christmas, along with that i will be dying the interior red, and re doing the steering wheel etc. Hopefully sometime during spring I will pick up new wheels for the car, and once summer hits it will get a fresh Sanatorin respray with maybe a special added touch to the color.
