Its been a while but I finally got around to working on it. So here's the update.

Pulled the motor to swap heads, compression was non existent.

    Pulled the heads

    Found a small surprise inside

Thankfully no damage to the Pistons so I cleaned them all up while I was in there

    New heads on

    Motor back in place

And..... It ran. Keyword there is ran. Attached the accessory belt etc engine fired up reved itself to about 3k then died. Tried a new crank sensor no luck, found a loose ground, tightened that up, still no luck. After peeping around we think a wire broke in the engine harness. So this weekend should be filled with more fun. Wrap coming very shortly after the car actually runs.

I'm glad that you decided the eliminator kit is the fall back plan. I too am hoping for you that you just have to worry about the heads though. Although a GT28 eliminator kit would be sooooo badass.

So I was ready to order wrap, and a set of bBrides then this happened.

so timing belt randomly snapped, how? I got no clue. Plan now is to get the benz back up to speed and do the normal maintance, tear the heads off the s4 and proceed. Only optimism I have is that the car shut down at idle, hopefully the pistons see no damage. The heads will 99% need to be redone so they will get 2.8 heads with supertech valves to rev this whore out. If the bottom end was touched I'm gonna go balls deep and order a gt28 eliminator kit, re do the trans, interior, and drive it three years from now. Stay tuned to see a w123 get chopped, painted, and semi restored...semi
