  • E30: Close Shave

So I've been viewing builds on here for a long time and figured since I'm finally set on what direction I'm going and the build is nearing completion that Id post it up a few other places. R3V is a rough place for ADD build people such as myself. I have gone through 4 different engine choices, 1000000 different design ideas all with ridicule. But in the spirit of what I wanted to accomplish I think im finally getting there. I'll spare you the ADD and give you the brass tax. Bought this E30 with 77k miles on it. She was mint inside drove great had an oil leak but was sound. First night I got it home I gutted it, and I mean gutted. Every panel, glass, plastic, rubber, sound deadening, scrap metal everything had to go. I wanted the car as light as possible. SO all glass was replaced with lexan. I used all factory trim so it looks oe and the rear quarters still pop. The bay was shaved. Everything is getting tucked. BC coils. Refinished BBS style 5 centers painted to match the bay. Engine: fully rebuilt for future boost M20B27 885 head swap with raceland stainless long tubes and custom M70 intake manifold. As she sits not panels are off to paint as are wheel centers. Once they get back its assembly time. Here are some pics as the build went along
