Wheels are finally stripped and read for powder coat, should have time to coat them on Friday.

Used aircraft stripper and a lot of elbow grease...

Sand blasted and waiting for color!

Adapters are getting in tomorrow. Ill have fitment pics up asap. All for now!

Finally got the BEEFY adapters in! Studs were to short since I did not mention the Ferrari wheels were originally lug bolts, not nuts, and rather long ones at that. Adaptec did a great job helping me fix my mistake. The quality of their work shines through the precision of their machining.

Hit the sandblaster one more time to make sure the wheels were throughly prepped for powder coat.

Finally the first coat of "Champagne Gold" powder was laid down, though it looks white the powder changes color with the heat applied during curing.

I did a partial cure of the wheels so the second, gloss, layer can adhere better. Came out nice and even with no drips or cracks!

My buddy Oscar helping me check temps on some of the wheels that just came out of the partial cure for the silver. The white wheel on the left has already had the clear coat powder applied over the Champagne Gold base.

First wheel to come out the oven after final cure looking wet!

Im extremely impressed on how the wheels came out considering this was my first major project using powder coat, especially with two layers of paint. No runs, no cracks, just smooth even color with a deep clear! Couldn't be any happier! I was very relieved once I saw the first wheel to come out after clear. Imagine having to start over and strip all the wheels after having powder coat run or crack... Talk about a nightmare!

So now its time for tires! Hopefully, I can get the tires mounted by tomorrow morning because I have night classes. And also, the adapters are coming back tomorrow! That means, if I can get tires mounted, I can get wheels mounted!

Aesthetically speaking, a red mtech coupe is pretty much my dream E30. Yours looks incredible, and those wheels turned out amazing. Can't wait to see them installed.

So of course something horrible would happen right before I get all four wheels on... I hit a rock about the size of a tennis ball knocking off the valance, sending it under my car.

I guess its up to zip ties until I can source a new Mtech valance... It is what it is

And finally the first few shots of the fitment! Im pretty happy with it. Only wish I could have a little more stretch up front so I could run less camber and poke more. I probably picked one of the hardest, or biggest, 195 tires to stretch up front and the 7.5" wheel didn't help.
