Been a while! Lots going on, mainly maintenance.

Started off with a compression test. Compression was high and even across all 6!

Spark plugs were pretty fouled... and Bosch

Some fresh plugs. NKG all day!

Time for some fun stuff. New water pump, thermostat, belts and tensioner and some sweet rattle cans for the intake manifold and valve cover.

No hood life! Time to get started.

Got the manifold off, bolts were not as bad as people say. Only pesky one was closest to the fire wall.

            Valves looked pretty clean.

Got all this stuff off and out of the way for fresh belts.

Some of the belts were pretty worn.

            New water pump looking pretty.

            Valve adjustment. Check.

Time for paint! Cleaned the manifold, masked off, and sprayed.

Very pleased with how the valve cover came out. Need to fix a little patch of purple that was removed with the masking.

Hopefully Ill have everything back together by tomorrow night.

Ps. Wheel adapters are ordered, and I'm excited.

Awesome work on the Valve Cover. Maybe a light coat of clear-coat could have prevented the paint coming off once the tape was removed?

Gah, Red Mtech? Such a great platform to start with for a project. Congrats.

It's often miserable spending so much time and money working on the maintenance side of things with plugs and bushings, but it's so important. It's great to see the work you're putting in to refresh the car.

I agree and so far it has been highly worth it! Thank you!

                          Got everything finished up today.

New gaskets all around, intake manifold went on fairly easy. Next time im installing the manifold with the fuel rail...

Cleaned out the throttle body, new gaskets here as well.

And finally the finished product after bleeding the coolant and getting the air box back on. First rolling shots of the no hood life, will have better topless photos soon.

Thats all for now! But the best is soon to come.

Wow! This is a great build man. I like that you have kept the m20 rather then doing a 24v swap! (mainly because that Valve Cover is Awesome!!!) Keep up the good work!
