i recently picked up this 2007 Tomos lx moped this weekend after having a great time fixing up my other 1987 Motomarina Sebring Moped the problem was that the motomarina had no title and only went about 30mph or so.while looking around craigslist at work i came upon this 2007 tomos lx moped

took about a 2 hour drive to go see it.it had a title which i was really looking for and already has a bigger cc kit.the engine ran great but before really getting anywhere the chain popped.even tho the ad says new sprockets, they were both all grinded up from the chain popping off because he only had one engine mount on so the engine was loose.ducktapped baffle on the end of the exhaust.the kid told me about the really RAD mods he had done to it to make up for the bad such as PLASTI DIPPED GAS TANK and windscreen,UNDERGLOW L.E.D's under the gastank and he even put a MONEY sign on the gas tank.
the commentary about the money sign.
me:
"why do you have a money sign on the gas tank"
him:
"i put it on all ma whips" (told me hes saving up for a car)

me:

long story short the bike wasnt my style.seemed like the kid just wanted to get rid of it.i got the bike for around 500 and away i went.

first i took off the handle bars and put on some standard singlespeed/fixed gear riser bars with oury grips, also took off the giant plastidipped windscreen

how the handle bars looks

grips slide right over the throttle

took off fender, speedometer, side pieces under the tank and rear bike rack with blinkers

then took off the gastank to take off the plastidip

the inventor of plastidip

put the leds back on to show how it was setup

im not a huge fan of the yellow so i then started to prep the bike for paint.took off the seat and used some degreaser for the frame

then did some prep work by sanding the frame, taping it off and then primed it.
