Kudos to you for wrenching on a scooter that isn't a Ruckus. Coming from a Ruckus owner lol. Any progress?

    UPDATE 8

my last update was about the engine block being cracked and this was by far the worst thing that has happened to the moped.somehow i still have the number of the kid i bought the moped from,so i texted him asking him about the engine block and if it was cracked when he had it.everything else on the bike was shittly put together by this kid ex:exhuast was held on by a paperclip,so i asked him...

me - did you know the engine block was cracked?

    and he replied no

the funny thing about this gif is that he looked like this kid in the gif

im pretty damn sure he sold it me knowing the engine block was cracked.but the way the engine was mounted to the bike and where it was cracked there is no way i could have seen where the crack was.
so i then asked him more questions about the bike like have you ever dropped it or crashed into anything.

    me \/

if you read the beginning of the build in update 5 when i replaced my forks you prob wondering how the forks had become fubar??? well i was thinking the same thing...i dont know how you bend forks like that unless you smash into something so i asked him

me - did you ever crash into anything at all?

    him - no never

    so im like

and hes on the other end like

and in reality he prob was like

and right after that happend he sold me the bike haha.but here i am now and i have the bike so lets get on with the build.

ok so here is the new block i had ordered off treatland

i then figured if i am going to replace the block why not up the 64cc to a 70cc.

so here is the new 70cc kit i ordered also of of treatland

awesome piston comes right in the cylinder so the piston rings arnt a hassle

next step was to take apart the old cracked block and replace everything into the new block

    new center block put together

    also replaced the seals

cdi in place on the sprocket side of the block

new piston and cylinder on the new block

then had to put the clutch side back together

put outer clutch case on carburetor and air filter on

looks funny using a jack but for this entire process i didnt have my dad to help mount the engine to the bike so i used a carjack

    was pretty damn hard

i then put together the rest of the bike.wires to the engine and exhaust for the most part.filled up the transmission fluid then started it up.it ran ran right away but let it idle to break it in a bit.onyl got to ride it up and down my street thats about it

here it is in its prime and glory, i just cant wait till spring time to ride it and those summer nights at 2am when no ones out to cruise down ocean ave

if i get the chance ill take some photos of it with my nikon but for the most part it will sit in the garage untill it gets warm again

it definitely was not a good find. i bought it not really looking into others. im happy with how the moped is now but i paid to much for it with all the problems its had.at the time of purchasing it i didnt know it had all these problems and should have bought it for less then i did or completely looked for another.i thought all it needed was a new chain and the forks to be tightened up.the good thing about me buying the bike in its condition is i now know everything replaced works.lesson learned dont rush into buying somthing without looking around haha.

but thanks for the good words and im sure youll find one they pop up on craigslist all the time

after the last update with changing my clutch pads i noticed my engine block was cracked... on both sides of the block

    transmission side

    my messy workbench

here is the brand new block just waiting on swapping it and also i figured if im completely taking the engine apart im going to upgrade to 70cc from 64cc so i am now waiting on a alukit 70cc 45mm version kit from treatland (thanks benji and everyone at treatland)

before finding out my engine block was cracked i purchased a bullet pipe and new tail light

my cat norman with my new pipe

installed (before taking off the engine)

    untill next update
