I'm probably buying an e30 on monday and I can't stop going through e30 builds threads.
This one is really clean, and the photography is great. I'm also a Crown Vic fan, so this thread is some kind of paradise to me.
I wanna see the new wheels installed.

Wheels are on!!!
Might be a bit to much springlesprangle on the front with the old spacers.
Today was -25ºC with the wind chill so I'm afraid I couldn't clean the car for a picture; fingers were plenty numb though.
Next up I'm trying to get a late model valance to put under the metal bumper!
So far my best hope is 4 hours a way with a owner who is convinced its made of pure gold...
Hopefully more goodies coming up with Christmas around the corner!
Happy Holidays!

Been hard to work on the car between school and the various storms.
First we had the ice storm, luckily I wasn't hit too hard.
However getting the car into the shop and stretched tires was a bit of work...
Today there was another storm, this time just a mass amount of snow. Managed to shovel it out the driveway, pump my flat with a bike pump (long story) and head out in search of a late model valance from a place called "Bimmer Heaven" which lacked a website or anything really.
Decided to test my luck and ended up at this sketchy warehouse, just dripping in rust. Thought it couldn't be the so called heaven I was looking for but I noticed a bmw emblem on a tree. After hopping the fence with the "No Trespassing" sign I walked up to the warehouse, littered in "Beware of Dog" signs. Found a door with the M-power emblem and walked in. I was immediately rushed by a large husky with to my relief was well trained. Long story short the place was beautiful inside, show room then around 60 parts cars, and I picked up what I needed for a steal of a price.
Just sorting out how to complement the valance. Thinking an is lip and then normal fogs, everything delphin except black ducts.
Should I leave the fog deletes? Anyone have a lip?
Thanks for your input!
Ps my car was put in the GarageWelt/r3v calendar! So every month will be September for a while haha

Trying my best to keep the updates coming in this cold weather.
The front of the shop has icicles as long as 7 feet hanging down as my dad has kindly demonstrated in the picture below.
Ran into some good karma and the buyer of my BBS rims gave me a deal on an is-lip. Big thanks to Kamil! I now have the majority of what I need to do the front conversion, just looking for some late model fogs now.
My dad has offered to acid dip the valance when he takes his truck cab in. Hopefully there isn't too much rust hidden in the valance!
In the meantime my dad showed me how to use a lathe and I've been playing around making shift knobs all day.
Right now the plan is to use some mun ebony my dad has had for over 20 years. It's so dense it sinks in water! Planning to make the round knob on the right using this piece.
Now for the cool part; the details!
Long story short my grandfather, my dad and I all have the same initials; J.F.
My grandfather was involved with horses and at one point a saddle maker in the business passed along some gold pins used for horse blinds with the initials J.F. They were from a man named James Franceschini; who started a construction company which made him a millionaire by age 25, and impressive feat in 1915. For those here in Onterrible he's the man responsible for the QEW.
Anyways, hopefully I don't mess it up! I think it would add some history to the car!
p.s. sorry for the cellphone pics! New camera soon!
