I'm so pleased you stuck with this after the fire. It looks so good repainted with Mercedes caps.

Finally some updates! It took long enough... Still no white walls but coilovers are in. JOM’s. This was day after fitment. I couldn’t deal with having to drive them in at 40mm as advised... So I slammed them all the way down with helpers infront & got the rear to sit kinda level.
A week later I wanted to check what wides would look like on Clover & test fit a friend’s stance encores. I love em. I think they looks so rad but it makes my car look like an Erik Muller rep so I don’t think i will go this route. Wheel setup is 8j all round et25.
The encores came off today & the caps went back on. This time the coils are without helpers in front.
The extra bit of lows does not make it worth the terrible drive though. It’s super bouncy but that could be because ive been driving the coilovers in totally wrong. My license disc was removed by the cops for being too low so yeah. It’s been a good day.
The helpers might go back in or i’ll lift it a tad to hopefully get some more “comfort”. Haha.

I've got respect for you sticking with the Jetta after the fire. It must be good to look at the finished product now and know that it was worth sticking out the respray and engine work needed to get her back on the road. It looks so classy with the merc hubcaps. I don't usually like the golf front ends on Jetta's either, but yours suits it down to the ground. Good work sirMy '88 Golf GTI - http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=59460
lowered, because it makes the boobies bounce
