This looks great. Good on you for sticking with it, despite the fire and such.

I love the fact the thieves got pulled over coz the car's too low.. Hope they threw the book at him!

LOVING IT from start to finish. Especially love that you stuck with it and the Benz caps w/ whitewalls too. Very unique

      progress IS a slow process

Been wanting to change the front end for a while but it took me a really long time to find the 7 slat Jetta front grill. It’s not in the best condition and the lights are not either but I just put everything together to see if I like it & I do. Quite a lot.
So the next step is to straighten out the front end. New bonnet, new lights, stone tray & 8v spoiler. While im at it I will probably touch up a few other areas as well.

Car looks lovely, you're lucky that it was found un damaged after it was stolen, I can imagine it must have been such a relief. Awesome photography too!

Some updates. It’s slow but steady.

Took Clover to a car show. Not a show car but it’s good to hang with friends that you hardly see around. Good enough reason to attend in my opinion.

Pre show test fit to see what turbos would look like. Always wanted a set. I should make this happen sometime.

Found a set of BBS RA’s for winter. We don’t have snow out here, just lots of rain & that’s not fun with polished lips. These were a great find because we didn’t get them here. I was shocked that no one snatched them because they were online for a while. Got them off a UK imported Mk1 Karmann Cabrio. They were pretty bad so I had them refurbished & they came out so great!

Had to go back to this for a few days because I took the tyres off the Enkeis. Looks a bit different with the Jetta front.

The night I got the wheels on. I had to have them balanced after work, I rushed home & fit them out in the dark. I was so keen to see what they look like. haha.

Took some randoms with the new wheels.

                              Gotta have the VSCO

I’ve got a lot planned over winter. Lots to sort out. Chassis rust and hopefully some cutting to get her lower for next season. Need new wheels too. Let the hunt begin.

Actually looks very good on those wheels. Winter mode. Hahaha. Nice to see Clover still getting some love! The Benz on your Turbo wheels pic looks proper low!
Nice pics, wish I lived in the Cape sometimes!
