I hope yours is much sweeter to you hahaha. It's amazing, this car was immaculate when we got it, and right after it sold it had all these problems lol.

My X type runs great, and it has 176k miles on it haha. I'm the 2nd owner and the first really took care of it. I got lucky

Wow, really classy! These old jags really get my attention. Too bad most of them are in terrible disrepair because no one bothered to change the oil.

Don't you think that a 2" straight pipe is a bit small on a car like this? I would do a single 3" with a resonator to a Y pipe with 2 2.5" piping and 2.75" polished tips. Cops won't care as much, and it will look a bit beefier than the current setup.

I'm not really sure on the whole thing yet, it's a bit foreign to me. My plan is to keep it simple and cheap as possible, using the stock exhaust until the cat, going up half an inch at the cat delete, and running that all the way back to whatever tips i decide on. The exhaust shop is run by a friend so we could get it on the lift one day and take a gander at it. I'm going for maximum grumble

With an 8.5 quart oil change, who could afford it?

Big update!! I repaired the world's worst tire! Seriously, if anyone's trying to give away some 215/45/17 tires, or 235/45/17 tires, hit a neighbor up-- I'm broke as!

this is awesome. can't wait to see more progress.

My grandfather has a similar Jag sitting in his garage, original owner, only like 54,000 miles on it, I THINK it still has period correct tires on it (probably only the second set of tires ever on the car) and it's dark blue with a tan interior. I would love to own it one day if they decided to get rid of it.

                            Keep up the hard work!

They're awesome cars, nothing like it for the money. I still have the right tires on the stock wheels, but a 205 series tires sucks pretty hard on a powerful car, but they ride so right. Mine has around 180k miles and it still ticks right along.
